The first bell rang and Fang stood up. "Wait." Max pulled him back down. "Wait for the hallways to clear out." Fang nodded and sat back down. After a couple of minutes, Max and Fang got up and peeked out the door. They quietly closed the door behind them and went ninja mode. Peeking out behind every corner, Fang nervously glancing at the camera's as they went.

"You think anyone actually watches those cameras?" Fang asked.

"I wouldn't worry about it." Max replied, looking down another hallway.

"That isn't an answer."

"There's the basement door. C'mon." Max walked to the door trying to look normal, in case people were watching the camera's video feed. "Dang! Its locked." Fang pulled out a paperclip from his back pocket and proceeded to pick the lock.

"Got it." He said, pocketing the broken paper clip. They both slipped behind the door and made sure the door was closed behind them before they descended the stairs.

As their eyes adjusted quickly to the dark, they saw an assortment of random things, including broken syringes and glass everywhere. It was hard to keep from stepping on them and making noise. "OK stop moving!" Max whispered harshly and the crunching of glass under their feet stopped as they held still.

"This is a wonderful plan, Max!" Fang whispered sarcastically.

Max shot him a glare, "Shut up if you aren't going to give me any suggestions!" They both looked around for a clear path that they could take.

"Over here." Fang whispered, and Max followed him to a door that was slightly ajar, a faint glow coming from inside. Fang peered into the room and drew back quickly. "There's someone in there." He whispered.

"Max. Fang." A low voice purred from in the room. "I've been waiting for you." A blur sped past them, and suddenly, they were tied up. "Now to wait for the others." The figure in the shadows said, voice so low and soft, Max and Fang were lulled to sleep.
