Chapter 20 part 2

After breakfast, when all of you were full to the point of feeling sick, you flopped down on a couch in the living room. Max and Fang had found an abandoned summer home on the outskirts of Rio and Nudge had fixed up the T.V. for you guys to watch.

Gazzy flopped down in a cushioned chair next to his sister and Nudge who had put in a movie. Fang and Max were still in the kitchen and Iggy sat next to you on the couch, propping his foot up and hugging his knee. "That breakfast was amazing." You said complimented him.

"Why thank you!" He replied. Gazzy belched and then started laughing as the girls ran to the opposite side of the room.

"Gazzy, I swear, If you stink up this house you will be sleeping with the Man-O-War's!" Max yelled from the kitchen and The Gasman just laughed harder.

"(Y/n) doesn't need a demonstration of your bizarre ability." Iggy said.

"Aww why not? They know about everyone else's ability's! Hey (Y/n)! You wanna see what I can do?" Gazzy asked, turning to you.

"Um, I think I'm good." You said, scooting as far away from Gazzy as the couch let. Max's comment had given you a hint about what Gazzy's ability was, but you didn't think you wanted your suspicion to be confirmed.

"Smart choice." Iggy said. You had accidentally backed up into him while trying to scoot away from Gazzy. You apologized and scooted forward some so that his shin wasn't digging into your spine.

Max and Fang walked in just as the movie was starting. Nudge had put in 'Frozen'. Max dimmed the lights and her and Fang sat in the love seat.

"Max?" Angel said sweetly, turning to Max. "Can I have a reindeer?"

"No."

"Why not?" Angel pouted.

"Because Total stinks enough by himself. Besides, where do you expect to find a reindeer?" Max asked.

"Hey!" Total lifted his head up from where he was resting. "I do not stink! If anyone stinks, it's The Gasman!"

Angel huffed and hugged Total, turning back to the T.V. as Gazzy agreed with Total's comment.

You all went to Wendy's for lunch and ordered three meals each. The workers gave you all weird looks but you guys were paying for everything, so they didn't argue. And you didn't ask where Max got the money.

When you got back home, after spending the rest of the day swimming and building sand castles with the kids, and watching in amazement as Angel carried on a conversation with the fish in the Rio Grande, Iggy made a dinner of Lobster (Angel helped) and biscuits.

"I feel unnerved.." Max said as you were all eating.

"Why?" Nudge asked her.

"We haven't been attacked today. I mean.. we were having a fun day? Where were the Erasers to crash our party?" Max explained.

"Are you complaining?" Iggy asked.

"No! I just think it's weird!"

"We're allowed a day off once and a while." Fang told her, "Maybe Jeb had a hand in keeping the wolves off our backs for a day."

Max scoffed at the mention of Jeb doing something nice for them. Gazzy yawned, mouth stretching wide. "Is it bedtime yet?" Iggy asked. "Today was fun, but long. And I think we're all tired."

"Of course. Today was fun. Goodnight everybody." Max smiled and held her fist out. Everyone stacked their fists on hers, and Iggy took your hand and put it on the stack, smiling at you.
