"Wake up! We're going to Ohio!" You awoke at the sound of Max's voice.

"Ohio?!" Total cried. "Do you know what the humidity there will do to my fur? Why Ohio??"

"Because this girl named Alex says that a school near her has scientists experimenting on the students in its basement on Fang's blog. Plus the voice says so." Max said.

"Ohio!" Gazzy said. "Isn't that where the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is? Can we go visit there?"

"We can visit the Underground Railroad!" Nudge chimed in. "I can just imagine all of the cool secret tunnels and-"

"It's not actually underground." Angel said. "Its a bunch of houses."

"Thank God because we will NOT be going underground in tunnels. Besides, um, hello! Experimenting on kids under a school? Is that not important?" Max interjected.

"C'mon guys. We've gotta get moving." Fang said, shutting his laptop and storing it carefully in his backpack.

"Can't I just stay here?" Total asked, grooming his fur as if the humidity from Ohio was already affecting it.

"Of course not! You're part of the flock! We need you! You can help!" Angel said, wrapping her arms around the small black dog.

"You didn't have a problem leaving me behind when you rescued (Y/n)." Total grumbled. "Alright fine! But I want to ride with Max. She's the fastest flier!"

"Will we need bombs?" Gazzy asked enthusiastically 30 minutes into the flight.

"No, Gazz. It's a real school. Where kids go to learn." Max said, to Gazzy and Iggy's disappointment.

"Max, can we learn there once we sack the scientists?" Nudge asked.

"No. Remember the last time we attended a school? Never happening again."

"(Y/n)" Fang called. You looked at him, surprised. This was the first time he had spoken to you directly. "This is a long flight, so whenever you need to rest, just tell us, ok?" You nodded and focused on flying. You didn't want to slow the flock down. Your stubbornness wanted to prove to Max that you weren't a deadweight, no matter what it took. So you pressed on.

"Max! Can we stop for breakfast?" Angel asked. You were pretty sure that she had read your thoughts and was asking this so you could rest and eat. It was only in the back of your mind that you were thinking about food.

"In a little while, Ange. We've only been flying for half an hour and its only 6 am. We'll stop in an hour."

"But Max! I'm hungry now!"

"Ange, we just left. ANGEL!!" Max dove after the six year old who had dropped like a stone. The rest of the flock followed. "Angel! Angel are you ok!?"

"So...hungry...!" She said dramatically. Max dropped her, realizing that Angel had faked it, and Angel spread her wings out to catch herself.

"You scare me like that again, Angel, and I swear I'll-" Max struggled to come up with a threat. "I'll send Total to a pound!"

"Hey!!" Total popped his head out of Fangs jacket. "Don't punish me because Angel scared you!! I don't belong with those uncultured swines!"

Ignoring Total's rantings, Max flew up to lead the flock. A few minutes later, she let out an exasperated sigh and turned around to look at you. "Do you need to rest and eat?"

"Um..ya.." You admitted. Max lead the flock down to the outskirts of a town somewhere in Indiana and ordered everyone to stay hidden in the tree's until she and Fang got back.

"Angel?" You ask.

"Yes?" She replied sweetly.

"Did you...talk..to Max about my needing food?"

"Maaybe~" She replied in a sing-song voice and giggled.

You sat back against the tree and smiled. Maybe Angel wasn't so creepy after all.
