Both you and Iggy were fighting to stay conscious. The blizzard had seemed to get worse, and time was running out.

Gazzy looked at you, his eyes laced with worry. "(Y/n). Come here." You carefully crawled over to where he was pressing cloth to Iggy's wound. "Did they inject you in the school?" He asked you and you nodded.

"OK, you might be able to help!" He said, looking at you intently. The rest of the flock was watching, curious about what Gazzy was planning. "They might have injected you with other animals DNA, maybe there's something in you that can help Iggy."

"Gazz..." Max placed a hand on his shoulder but he shrugged it off,

"C'mon, think (Y/n)!" He persisted.

"Gazzy, stop." Angel said calmly.

"There has to be something!" The Gasman tried to control his anger as he looked desperately around at his family. "You guys are just going to give up? He's our brother! We have to try something!"

"We're not giving up, Gazzy. We'll find something to help. But I don't think (Y/n) has developed healing powers." Max said, gently laying her hand back on Gazzy's small shoulders.

"Wait, I might be able to get the bullet out!" Nudge said hopefully as she sat next to Iggy. She hovered her hand over the bullet site and closed her eyes. A few seconds later, the bullet flew up into her hand, and the wound started pouring crimson blood again. Iggy cried out and Nudge gasped and dropped the bullet, tightly pressing the cloth back to his wound, trying to stop the blood flow once more.

You felt tears running hot down your face and you looked away, wishing this wasn't happening. Wishing that this was just another nightmare. You felt a small hand slip into yours and opened your eyes to see Angel looking up at you. Her eyes held pity for you, and fear for Iggy.

"Everything will be ok." She promised, lightly squeezing your hand. You gave her a sad smile and looked back at Iggy who was sweating and shaking profusely

Gazzy was crying silently over Iggy, trying to be strong. But he was only 7 years old. You were suddenly filled with a hot anger. Towards the school, the scientists, and Jeb. You were all just kids! The more you sat there, the angrier you got.

"How could they do this to us?" You shouted suddenly. Everyone turned to look at you, puzzled. You became embarrassed at your sudden outburst, but anger quickly overruled it. "We're just kids! What kind of monsters does this to children? Shoots children?!"

Max looked at you and you realized she looked so much older than she was. Worn and tired, and the weight of the world on her shoulders. That only kindled the fire blazing in you. You were ready to go kick some serious butt. Max saw the look on your face, or maybe Angel told her, but she placed her hand on your arm.

"Not now, (Y/n). The blizzard would tear you to shreds. Besides, you would just get captured again, and what good would that do any of us?"

You sighed and sat back down, not realizing that you had started to get up. Looking down at Iggy, you felt more tears well up behind your eyes. You blinked them back and placed your hands over Iggy's wound and closed your eyes. 'Come on,' you thought to yourself, desperation coursing through your veins. 'Maybe Gazzy's right and I do have something in me that will help!' Seconds went by with no significant feeling coursing through your body, no magic happenings that would heal Iggy.

You sighed and opened your eyes. You felt stupid for thinking that you had some magical ability like they did. Looking around at the flock, you saw their mouthes were gaping and their eyes were popping. Confused, you looked where they were looking, down at Iggy, and gasped.
