"Fang?" You stood in front of Fang, fidgeting with the hem of your shirt.

"What is it?" He asked, massaging his temples, sounding worn out.

"I was part of the reason you two were fighting.." you started hesitantly. Fang looked up at you.

"If you're gonna say something stupid like, 'Maybe you guys are better off without me', forget it. You're part of the flock and we don't abandon anyone." There was a certain finality in his voice that made it clear that he wasn't up for any pity discussions.

"Well then, lucky for me that I wasn't going to say anything like that. I wanted to tell you that, if we need to move, I've recovered enough to do so. You don't need to worry about me."

Fang leaned back on the dusty couch he was sitting on. "Tell me something (Y/n). What makes you think that it's within my ability to not worry? About anything?"

"Well- I just meant that there's no need to think that I'm still hurt or anything. I mean, all my wounds have healed and I'm almost back to 100%. Enough that I could further my training." You explained, sensing that Fang was still quite in edge. And it was very possible that he could blow up again soon.

"Further your training." Fang pondered on those words for a minute before calling Iggy into the room, who looked like he had been eavesdropping. "(Y/n) wants to 'further their training'."

"Ok..?" Iggy said, not sure where Fang was going with this.

"I need to stay here and watch the kids because apparently I'm the leader now," Sarcasm and bitterness laced his words and Iggy shifted uncomfortably. "So it's up to you for now to go and train them. There's a clearing about a quarter mile from here, why don't you go and 'further their training."

"Oh, ok. Sure thing, boss." Iggy walked back into his room to grab clothes more appropriate for fighting in while Fang glared after him for his comment.

"Beat him up for me, will ya?" Fang said to you, leaning forward and continuing to rub his temples.

"Ok, show me what you know so far." Iggy said, positioning himself for the fight.

Already knowing how capable Iggy was of fighting, you began. Starting with simple punches and kicks, which Iggy easily evaded and blocked, and progressing to throws and take downs.

Iggy was smiling as he blocked a punch aimed at his stomach and used your own momentum to toss you to the ground. "Pull back your arm as soon as you make contact." He reminded you.

"But I didn't make contact!" You argued, jumping back up and brushing dirt and leaves out of your hair and clothes.

"I know." He said, slightly smug.
You stuck your tongue out at him, relishing in the knowledge that he couldn't see you making faces at him. "Don't make faces at me!"

You stared at him, confused. "How-??"

"I was being arrogant and you didn't retort, so obviously you were too busy making faces."

You huffed and grudgingly agreed with him. In your head, of course.

"Alright. Again." You and Iggy sparred for another ten minutes, each perfectly matching the others moves. That is until Iggy caught your ankle while you were kicking at him.

Reflexively, you reached out for something to hold on to. Which happened to be Iggy's arm. Catching Iggy off-guard, you both fell to the ground, Iggy catching himself before he crushed you.

His hands were keeping him up. Right over you. "Well. Fang did say, 'If you go down, take the enemy with you'. I don't think he meant as you fall to the ground though." Iggy laughed.

"Well would you rather I had kicked you in the face as I went down then?" You asked, joking.

"Ideally, yes. Do as much damage as you can to your enemy."

"You aren't my enemy!"

"Yes but you can't get any better at fighting if you hold back against me." Iggy said, seriously.

"I don't want to hurt you though!" You argued.

"That right there is the kind of thinking that will get you killed!"

"This isn't a fight to the death, Iggy! It's just practice!"

"If you don't take this practice seriously, you die!"

You opened your mouth to argue again but something stopped you. It was a kiss. Iggy was kissing you. He broke away, milky eyes looking into yours. "I can't have that. I can't let you die."

The pure worry in his voice melted your heart. "I already lost you once," He said. "And it almost broke me."
