Love you for reading!!!

AND When something is in single 'quotes' it is a thought. That should make sense after you read.

I lay still and quiet trying to feel how my world changed before seeing it. I could hear cars passing on the main road on the border of the Cullen property but not drastically better than before. Inside the room was silent but I knew I was surrounded. The vampires were still and breathless but I knew there were six in the room with me. Each let off an almost silent buzzing sound, like the sound of a fluorescent light bulb, but all at their own pitch.

This interested me but I was searching for something. The same sound that kept me sane for hours; Jacob's steady, strong heartbeat. I found it but it was muffled by a barrier and his hand was gone. That shock opened my eyes

'Jacob. Jacob! Where are you?' I looked around and saw Carlisle, Edward, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmett and Alice. There was no Jacob but I could hear his heart beating right outside the door. I was distracted again.

Everything looked the way it did before only slightly clearer. It was as if all my life I was wearing glasses in the wrong prescription and it was finally fixed. I also noticed how much room there was in my mind like I now had access to every thought all at once.

Then there was a small pop like water being released from my ears and the yelling started.

'Thank God you're ok.' 'Are you going to say something?' 'It worked!' 'Why can't I hear you now? You were so clear before.' 'You can say something now.'

I could recognize all the individual voices but they were all so loud and they were all yelling at the same time. I sat in a ball on the bed and covered my ears but it didn't help at all, the voices were just as loud.

'Please stop.' I cried. But they kept going.

'What are you talking about?' 'What did we do?' 'How did I mess up?' 'Great they made you even stranger.'

I threw myself off of the bed moving only slightly faster than I was used to and huddled in the corner below the window. At the same I screamed, "Stop yelling at me!" there was complete silence except for the buzzing and the beating of Jacob's heart on the other side of the door.

Slowly I moved my hands away from my ears. They were all circled around, staring down at me. Carlisle and Edward were standing closer that the rest having a silent conversation. Carlisle would look at Edward from the corner of his eye and Edward would shake his head or nod in answer to the silent question.

Edward knelt down in front of me slowly and put his hand on my knee. "Hi, Mikena. Do you remember me? Do you remember what happened to you? Are you ok?"

I nodded, "Yes to all of the above. I remember everything and I'm fine. You all were just yelling so loudly. It was too much."

The confusion on his face was priceless; he was more beautiful than I remembered. Before I realized it I was reaching up to touch his face. Then I noticed how confused everyone else was.

Edward was shaking his head, "Mika, no one has said anything, at least not before I did. What did you hear?"

I peered around him to get a better look at the others, "They were all yelling at me. Rose said was wondering why I wasn't talking, Carlisle was happy it worked. Then when I asked everyone to stop they asked what I was talking about. Why are you all looking at me like that?"

'Because you're crazy.'

'I'm not crazy!' I thought at the same time Edward said, "Rosalie, she isn't crazy," looking over his shoulder.
