With your record player humming quietly & a pencil between your fingers, you were mindlessly sitting on your bed, trying to focus on the miniscule amount of inspiration left inside you. School was out for the summer & the life was quite literally drained from you. You had had an extreme case of artist's block for months, having absolutely no inspiration to draw or write. The pencil between your fingers seemed to mock you, just sliding absentmindedly along the blank page, cascading random lines that seemed to tear a hole in both your soul & the paper.

Sighing heavily, you tried to focus on the sweet lull of "Die Die, My Darling" by the Misfits, hoping Danzig's deep voice would spark some creativity into you. After some time of focused faces & intentse eraser chewing, a picture of Tate flashed into your mind, making you smile. Tate had taken you out for your first official date about a month ago, but the memory was still fresh in your mind. The way he smiled so that his dimples showed (the tell-tale sign that it was a genuine smile & not the bullshit ones he gave his mother), the way he held your hand the whole night & kept you close, & of course, the way he kissed you. It was the first time you two kissed & to say it was amazing was an understatement. You couldn't even put it into words.

Grinning to yourself, you decided to use Tate as your drawing guide. With that same picture of his dimpled smile in your mind, you began sketching. You first began with his lips, since they were on your mind the most. You remembered the kiss you shared, the grin on your face spreading wider. He had the nicest lips. They were full & soft with a lovely pink tint that made them so...lively.

Just as you replayed the kiss in your mind, you felt a kiss on your cheek. Expecting it to be Tate, you looked up expectantly, but no one was there. You touched your cheek at the place where you felt the kiss, but it felt cold. You ignored it & went to back to drawing. You finished up his gorgeous smile & dimples before turning to his cheeks & other facial features. Drawing undisturbed for a while, you were fully concentrated on your work, until once more, you felt another kiss to your cheek. Immediately looking up, you saw nothing, again.

Crinkling your eyebrows in confusion, you paused for a moment before going back to drawing. Next up was his eyes. He had the deepest brown eyes, so dark you couldn't even see his irises sometimes, but they were beautiful nonetheless. Even the heavy bags & dark circles were striking to you, something about their naturality really struck you. The way they made him look so human & fragile was beautiful to you.

Your record stopped as you finished up his eyes, so you got up & went to flip it over. Just as you put the needle back onto the vinyl, music began to fill the room again. You went back to your bed & continued drawing. Now, you were focusing on his hair, those signature, golden, curly locks that you'd recognize from a mile away. You smiled to yourself as his hair slowly became those distinguishabe curls, reminding you how much you missed him. He hadn't stopped by for a couple of days & you truly missed him.

As you finished up the drawing, once you again you felt the ghost of a kiss against your cheek. You ignored it all together this time because you figured your mind was just playing tricks on you again. Once you finished the drawing, you signed it quickly before shutting your book. You plopped down onto your bed & closed your eyes, enjoying your music. Just as you were starting to relax & feel the music rattle through your bones, the record suddenly came to a stop. You opened your eyes & slowly sat up, watching as the record floated off your player & another one plopped down in its place. You raised an eyebrow as the needle moved to the vinyl & slowly, music began to play. Once the opening note to "Heart-Shaped Box" played, you knew exactly what was going on & you couldn't help but laugh.

"Tate! If you wanted me to play Nirvana you should have just asked," suddenly, a smiling Tate appeared in front of you, almost giggling at himself. You patted the spot next to you on your bed & he got in next to you, laying down & leaning his head on his arm. You smiled & mimicked his actions, "Hey, Stranger."

He smiled, "Hey," you leaned over & ruffled his hair playfully, making him roll his eyes.

"Where have you been? I haven't seen you in ages."

"Oh I was just thinking."

Your arm grew tired so you gave up & laid your head down on your mattress, "About what?"

He shrugged, "You, mostly," you blushed slightly & he smiled.

"What about me?"

He laughed, "Pretty much everything; your laugh, your smile, your face..."

You laughed & rolled your eyes, "You sap," he rolled his eyes back & pulled you into him, hugging you into his chest. You wrapped your arms around his waist & hugged him back, leaning up to kiss his chin. He leaned down & placed a gentle kiss to your lips. You kissed him back eagerly, missing the feel of his cool lips against yours. His hands held onto your back, keeping you close to him as you kissed. You let your hands wander to his hair, rustling it as you continued to kiss. His hands moved to your hips, squeezing them gently as he pressed his forehead against yours. He kissed your cheek & you smirked at the familiar feeling, realization hitting you, "That was you earlier, wasn't it? Those ghost kisses?"

He laughed, "Yes, that was me."

You laughed with him, "You jerk! I thought I was imagining it."

He grinned, "I thought you'd know better by now."

You rolled your eyes & playfully punched his shoulder, "Whatever, ghost boy," he snorted & noticed your notebook. He grabbed it & started flipping through it. Eventually, he reached the picture you drew of him & he stopped. His eyebrows raised in surprise & curiosity, & his lips slowly curled into a wide smile, dimples & all. He was the spitting image of your drawing, & seeing that exact reaction once more in person was enough to make your heart stop.

"You drew me?" he said simply.

You nodded, blushing a little, "Yeah, I did."

He grinned, "It's beautiful," he looked up at you, "You're very talented."

You blushed darker, "Thanks, Tate."

He closed the book & looked at you, "You don't believe me?" you looked away & bit your lip, shrugging. He gently pulled you into his lap, cupping your face in his hands, "You're a great artist, believe me," you blushed once more & smiled at him. He kissed your nose & rubbed your cheeks for a moment before he let your face go. He held you close as he laid back down on your bed, holding you against his chest. He laid on his back & wrapped his arms around you. You smiled & laid your head on his chest, relaxing into him. You heard him softly sing the lyrics to "Heart-Shaped Box" to you & you couldn't help but smile.
