REQUESTED: Disabled reader & Quicksilver?

------------------------------------------------------

"Peter!" the glorious sound of your laugh filled his ears, causing a wide grin to form on his face. He would do anything to keep hearing that laugh, even if it meant running around so much that his legs fell off. He loved making you happy, especially when he got to see you this happy.

You loved nothing more than actually being able to run with Peter. There was something so exhilarating about the whole ordeal that was just so fun & relaxing at the same time. It made you forget about your disability. You always felt normal around Peter & that was something you would always be thankful for, along with all the effort he put in to make you feel so happy & loved.

Your disability was a very touchy subject for you, just because it was so new. It was during the battle with Apocalypse that you sustained your nearly fatal injury. You heard Peter cry out & saw that Apocalypse had broke his leg, & you lost it. Without thinking, you rushed at Apocalypse, but before you could even strike him, Psyloche's blade ripped through your lower back from behind, severing your spine. You had been left paralyzed from the waist down, but you survived. Had it not been for Hank, you probably would have died that day & Peter would have been inconsolable. He already was & blamed himself every day for your current condition, but you always assured him that it was your fault for being so goddamn stupid & reckless.

After the accident, you & Peter had become even closer. You had only been dating a few weeks by the time the whole ordeal with Apocalypse rolled in, but you were both still decently close. Your relationship became much stronger after the accident, since Peter had to take care of you for a while after Hank successfully performed an operation that healed your spine, but you were still paralyzed. Hank was still working diligently to try & find a way to restore the movement in your lower body, but everyone had extremely little hope. Despite everything, you wouldn't change anything that happened. You may have been paralyzed, but you were still alive, & that was more than enough for you. Plus, you had the coolest wheelchair ever & you & Charles constantly raced each other throughout the mansion.

Peter, being the wonderful boyfriend he was, had worked very hard to accommodate everything to your current condition. He moved shelves in your room so they were much lower & within your reach, put wheelchair ramps in your favorite places, including outside, & even helped you shower. He did everything he could to make things easier for you, but he also enjoyed spoiling you, & your wheelchair was the perfect example of it.

Peter had equipped your wheelchair with high-tech gadgets in order to make it "Quicksilver proof", as he liked to say. Of course, Hank helped with the design, but Peter added all the personal touches & put it together himself. The wheels were made of an indestructible material with a super long name Peter couldn't remember, but he knew it could withstand the scorch marks they would leave when he ran with you. It also had a nice little crook for you to tuck your head in, preventing you from getting whiplash. He also stocked it with a little music player, so you could both jam out together, cupholders, & even a very small mini-fridge in the back of the chair; however, your favorite accessory was the pair of goggles he had got you that matched his own. You wore them a lot, even when you weren't speeding down the mansion in your badass wheelchair with your badass boyfriend.

"Are you ready?" Peter leaned down & whispered in your ear as he gripped the handles of your chair. This was yours & his favorite part of racing together & the grins on your faces showed it.

"Do it," he pressed a kiss to your cheek before you were both suddenly cruising around the small pond in the front of the mansion. Peter had recently discovered that he was fast enough to run on water & he immediately fell in love that day in training when he tried out for the first time. He showed his new found skill to you & you eventually convinced him to try it with you. Almost instantly, you were both addicted to the lovely exhilaration it brought you both. Running on water was so fun for you & Peter, especially you. It was like your version of water skiing.
