"A screwdriver & a beer," your boyfriend, Evan, ordered as the two of you sat down at the bar. It was a Friday night, Evan had finished up shooting the newest season of American Horror Story & you thought it would be a good idea to go out together & celebrate. There was a new bar that opened up nearby so you figured it would be the perfect time to check it out.

Evan turned & smiled at you, "So, come here often?"

You laughed, "Oh yeah, I come here all the time with my boyfriend," you played along.

He pretended to look dejected, "Boyfriend, huh," he smiled slightly, "Well, he's a very lucky guy."

You smiled, "I'm the lucky one," he blushed softly & you laughed, "Nice try, Evan, but I'm the queen of flirting."

He laughed, "For now, but one day...just wait."

You rolled your eyes, "Sure, whatever you say," he just winked at you while your drinks arrived. The two of you drank & talked for over an hour, getting drunker by the minute. Pretty soon, you were both intoxicated enough to nearly surpass the legal limit. You were both similar drunks. When you were sober, you were both quiet, awkward, & shy, but when you were drunk, you were both more confident & loud. Not enough to be obnoxious to others, but enough to be the exact opposite of your sober self.

"We should dance," Evan suggested as he grabbed your hand.

You laughed, "Evan, you know neither of us can dance."

He shrugged, "Sooo?" you sighed & gave in as he drunkenly led you to the crowded dance floor. Some shitty pop song was playing, but in your drunken stupor, it just sounded like buzzing in your ears, which you were thankful for.

Evan pulled you close & started slow dancing with you. You laughed, "Evan this isn't a slow song."

"I don't caaare!" he sung as held your waist. You just laughed again & played along. He leaned close & kissed you softly & as you kissed back, you could feel the alcohol really kicking in. Since the dance floor was so crowded, people were shoving & grinding against the two of you. You both tried hard not to get separated but eventually, you were pulled apart.

You immediately called out to him, "Evan?" you looked around the dance floor, but you couldn't distinguish the crowd. Everyone looked the same. You continued searching, but your clouded mind & vision made it extremely difficult. You bumped right into someone, who immediately grabbed you to steady you.

"Whoa, there, you okay?"

"I'm looking for my boyfriend," you slurred.

"I'm right here," he teased.

You rolled your eyes, "I'm serious I need to find him."

"Dance with me," the guy insisted. You looked around desperately for Evan but you still couldn't find him. You sighed. One dance wouldn't hurt, right? Afterall, your boyfriend was MIA & it would be dangerous to stumble around alone in your current state.

"Alright," you gave in. The guy smiled & pulled you close, dancing with you. While the two of you danced, you tried to look around for Evan once more, but still, nothing. Giving up, you tried to enjoy the dance with this guy. He was a fairly good dancer & you had trouble keeping up with him. You were actually having fun with this guy. He kept cracking lame jokes that made you laugh while he kept close to you as you danced. He was a lot like Evan, what with his goofiness & kindness. You enjoyed his company & almost forgot about Evan.

"You look quite ravishing," he complimented.

Normally, you'd blush, but now, you just smiled, "Thank you," suddenly, the guy leaned closer & kissed you. You were shocked but your lips moved in sync with his. You knew you should have felt guilty, but you were so drunk & your mind was so foggy that you couldn't think straight let alone get your feelings in check.
