Took Him Long Enough (Todd [Kick-Ass] x OFC)

REQUESTED: A one shot with Todd from Kick-Ass? Like him & his best friend Dani secretly have feelings for each other, but they don't tell each other. Then one day, while they're in a bar or something, Dave drunkly tells Dani that Todd loves her. Todd gets super embarrassed. After they take their drunk friends home, they just sit in the car & confess their feelings?

Todd knew going to the bar was a horrible idea, especially since Dani was coming along. Dani & Todd were best friends & had been for years, ever since they met at Gotham, a local comic store, over seven years ago. They bumped into each other in the X-Men section, both of them desperately looking for the newest edition. They striked up a conversation & realized they both went to the same middle school, although they didn't share any classes together. They exchanged numbers & from that day on, they became the best of friends, forming a strong friendship that continued to last all through high school.

Yet, despite how amazing their friendship was, both of them yearned for something more than that.

They would be much happier off if they were in a romantic relationship, but they both knew they couldn't handle losing their friendship at the risk of figuring out if the feelings were reciprocated. Their friendship was just too valuable to risk losing.

But, as everything in life tended to go, their plans & worries didn't matter to whoever decided fates because Dave would end up doing the very thing Dani & Todd couldn't do for months in one night.

Todd was mortified, at first, but also relieved & thankfully, the night would only get better from there.

"Yo Daniiiiiiii," Dave slurred, drunk off his ass. He never could handle his liquor, but then again, Dani & Todd weren't that great at it either. The difference was they knew when they had enough & tended to stay away from alcohol. Dave, on the other hand, just kept going until the poor kid was so drunk he couldn't remember his own name. This usually meant that Dani & Todd were designated as the drivers for the night, since they were almost always unfortunately sober.

Dani laughed a bit at Dave's stupor, rolling her eyes, "Yeah?"

Dave giggled as Katie started tugging on his arm, "I've got...s-s-something to tell youuuuuu," Katie, who was also a bit drunk, laughed at her boyfriend & began pressing kisses to the back of Dave's neck.

Dani snorted, "Oh yeah? What's that?"

Dave slowly & drunkenly, let his lips curve upwards into a devious grin, "You know Todd?" Dani nodded & Dave leaned in, "Well, he loooooves you, like even more than he loves his comics," Dani's eyes widened at the revelation. Could it be true? Did Todd really love her?

Todd, who was sitting next to Dani, heard Dave's failed attempt at a whisper & nearly choked on his soda. His face turned bright red, both from the incorrect uptake of his fizzy drink as well as Dave's admission. Leave it to the world to give Todd's drunk friend more balls than he had, even when he was sober.

Dani cleared her throat, hiding her own blush, "I think it's time we get you kids home," she simply said.

Todd didn't like the sound of that, but he agreed.

It took nearly an hour for Dani & Todd to get their four friends buckled up & in the car, but they finally did it. By the end of the ordeal, they were completely exhausted & ready to hit the hay. Todd decided to drive and Dani agreed, getting into the passenger seat. The tension in the air was so palpable that the drunk quatret in the back could feel it, even in their current states. Regardless, Todd & Dani refused to address the matter, especially with all their wasted friends in the car. So, they continued to let the tension build until all their friends were safe & in bed.
