You sighed as you stacked a new shipment of erotica on the shelf, grumbling to yourself, "Why couldn't I get a job at a record store?" you were a very awkward & uncomfortable person, so having to work in a place where you had to stare at female & male genitalia all day wasn't exactly your cup of tea. Unfortunately, it was the only place that would hire you, so you stayed. Along with the fairly nice pay, your manager, Alex, was an absolute pleasure to look at. He was dorky & shy, like yourself, with a bright smile & kind eyes. He had been nothing but nice to you since you applied & you really liked him. Most of the days at work were spent talking to each other & laughing. There was obvious chemistry between you two, but whenever either of you got close to making a move, the other would back out at the last second.

You got up & saw Alex mindlessly flipping through an art book. He was really fond of books full of artwork, specifcally drawings. He loved to draw & had secretly been drawing a lot. It was really hard for him to keep himself in check with you because you really bring out his genuine self. He doesn't have to pretend to be confident around you because he knows that you're just as awkward as he is & that you still enjoy his company, despite his flaws. Things like that were what made him love you more.

Alex noticed you staring at him & he smiled shyly at you, "Need more to stack?"

You sighed, "Do I have to?"

He laughed, "You know, if you hate it here so much, why don't you just quit?"

You frowned, "I need the money & no one else would hire me," you smiled softly, "but I do have one good thing keeping me here," you added quietly.

"Well, whatever it is, just focus on that. It'll make working here easier," he said, completely oblivious to the fact that he was that one good thing.

You laughed, "Believe me, I already do. So, where's that next stack?" he smiled & went to the back to grab another box of erotica to be stacked & organized. You waited, thinking about the back of the store. Of all the months you had been working here, Alex never let you go in the back. Even if you needed to grab something really quick, he would stop you & go get it for you. At first, you thought he was just being nice or maybe that he didn't trust you, but now, you wondered what else could be a reason for his weird behavior. You were totally stumped; however, & had no idea why he wouldn't let you go in the back, but you did know it wasn't because he didn't trust you.

Alex eventually came out from the back, carrying another huge box with him, "Alright, here's the last one. I'll be in the back, so just holler if you need anything," & with that he went back into the back storage area of the store to do whatever he had planned.

You went back to stacking, still wondering what was he was doing in the back.

It took you about an hour to get all the magazines organized & stacked, but you got it done. Just as you finished up, someone came into the store. You sighed. Out of all the things you hated in the store, you hated the customers most of all. Nearly all of them were middle-aged perverts that usually only talked to you just so they could gawk at you. You were so disgusted by them & usually tried to avoid them, but in this situation, you couldn't avoid the customer.

Thankfully, he wasn't an old pervert, but he was a young sleazebag & you weren't eager to help him out, "Excuse me? Are you all out of this issue?" he pointed at an empty shelf. You sighed & walked over to him to see the shelf.

"Usually, we only have what's on the shelves, but I can check in the back for you," you replied.

"Thanks," he said. You rolled your eyes when you turned around & went towards the back to look for the magazine.

When you went into the back, you were shocked at what you saw. The entire back storage area had been turned into a makeshift art studio. Large drawing pads & canvases were displayed, paints & papers scattered everywhere. Alex was in the midst of the artistic choas, scribbling feverishly at a large drawing pad that was set up as a canvas. He was facing you, but didn't notice you had walked in, until you breathed out, "Wow."

He immediately jumped up in surprise, his eyes widening as he saw you. He scrambled to hide the drawing he was working on, "What are you doing here?"

"A customer came in & wanted to see if we had any issues from this one magazine, but there were none on the floor so I thought I'd check in the back..."

He sighed & bit his lip, blushing slightly, "I'll let him know we're all out."

"But you don't even know which magazine---"

"I'll take care of it," he got up & quickly left the back area, leaving you alone in his little studio. You stood & admired everything in awe for a moment before you actually went to see some of his pieces. When you did, you were completely surprised what you found.

Every single painting, drawing, sketch, & paper was a replica of you. Alex had expressed you in every single drawing-related type of art form out there, right here, in the back of the store. All this time, Alex had not only been thinking of you, but had also been replicating you in his favorite art forms.

The smile that appeared on your face was so big it hurt.

Alex returned, his hands in his pockets & his lip between his teeth. This time, you didn't notice him, seeing as you were too busy observing his works. Eventually, you did turn around & your smile only widened when you saw him, "You've been drawing me? All this time?"

He blushed softly, "They're not very good or anything, but yeah."

"Oh my God are you kidding? They're so good, you're so good---" you were unexpectedly cut off when Alex pressed his lips against yours. You were stunned for a moment but were quick to return the kiss. His kisses were urgent & almost hungry, as if he had been waiting forever to kiss you, which he had. Both of you had.

His hands gripped your waist cautiously & he pulled you closer. You wrapped your arms around his neck & continued to return his needy smooches. You let your hands tangle themselves in his curls as he gently pushed you back against the nearest table, starting to desperately push all his work & supplies off the table. You laughed & stopped him, "Wait, don't do that. I don't want you to ruin them."

He blushed a little & smiled sheepishly, "I can always redraw them."

You laughed again & cupped his face, kissing him, "Or, we can save you the trouble & go to your place after work?"

"I already closed the shop. We can go right now."

You grinned at his eagerness, "I'm down," he smiled brightly & gave you one final kiss before he started to drag you out of the store.
