A dim light was shining through my eyelids, all I could see was orange. I lolled my head to the side and the light faded away. I snuggled in closer to my bed and pulled the duvet around my shoulders, until I heard a jingling sound. My eyes flew open and I sat up so fast I found myself falling onto a cold hard ground with a thump. I groaned and looked around me. I had fallen off the cushion swing and onto the patio but why was I here?

It all came rushing back to me, I had a bad dream so I went for a walk out in the garden, sat down on the swing and I must have fallen asleep. And that light was the sunrise.

I picked myself up and dusted myself off before jogging back to the back door which I had left unlocked. Oh god I would have been responsible if the house had gotten robbed but luckily it didn't. I opened the door and quietly shut it behind me once I was in the heated house and locked it. Placing the keys back on the side I passed the microwave and it's clock read 5:28am.

I jogged up the stairs and collapsed onto my bed, I still had a couple of hours to sleep; if I could get to sleep. This time I actually snuggled into my bed and felt the sponginess of the duvet wrapped around me as I felt sleep taking over.

"Christie. Christie. Christie, wake up. Christie..." someone was whispering in my ear.

"Christie. It's lunchtime. You've missed school..."

My eyes flew open and I looked to my side clock. 7:45am.

"You lied!" I pouted at the person next to me which was Aaron.

"I know but it got you awake didn't it? You might want to get ready and shower because you have leaves in your hair." he chuckled and walked out my room.

Slowly I ran a hand through my hair and sure enough I pulled out 3 leaves. I groaned and sprang out my bed to get showered and dressed.

After finishing my normal morning routine I put my hair in a sloppy ponytail and let it air dry. I grabbed my bag and chucked my folders and books in and ran downstairs with it in hand.

"Come on Aaron! We're going to be late!" I shouted up the stairs once I had reached the bottom. Soon after I heard two sets of feet jumping down the stairs before my two brothers appeared in front of me.

"Come on then!" I said and skipped out the door, saying bye to Liz and Trent on the way out. I ran to the car and tried the handle but of course it was locked. I checked my Facebook while I was waiting for the morons to catch up to me.

4 friend requests. I clicked on the person icon and they showed up.

Sadie Morris, Tom Lee, Lilly Williams and Phoebe Williams want to be your friend.

Not now, not now, confirm, confirm. Why would Sadie want to be my friend on Facebook anyway?

A revving engine brought me back to reality and I saw Aaron and George seated in the black car. I chucked my bag on the middle seat and climbed in and putting the seatbelt on. The car pulled away from the house and we were on our way to school.

The car pulled into a space and I jumped out and headed for the building. I was greeted with warm air and sighed contently, it was getting colder outside now as winter was on it's way. I made my way to my locker and dumped my books there then went to form.

I was on the middle of doodling on my planner when someone dropped a note on my desk. I picked it up and it read Meet Miss Beau in N5. Getting up from my seat I told my form teacher and she excused me as I made my way down the stairs and entered the classroom N5.
