"Okay, do you have any party clothes?" Phoebe asked me on Friday just as we sat down at our lunch table.
"Um I have like this dress but it's more of a formal thing like going on dates or a family meal." I referred to the lilac dress I wore when Tom took me out on a date.
"Well I'll take that as a no." she sighed and took a bite out her panini with cheese that tasted like rubber. I grimaced and brought my homemade BLT to my mouth.
"Come to ours after school then and we'll fit you with an outfit leaving boys chasing after you."
"Maybe that won't be such a good thing at a house party, you know." I reasoned, I'd heard a few things that happened a house parties.
"You need to be more social, seriously." Lilly said out of the blue as she plonked down next to her sister.
"Ahh I see you have arrived, little one." Phoebe teased her little sister who was like 5 minutes younger or something ridiculous.
"It's not my fault I hate people, I have pizza to be social with." I answered back with a mouthful of sandwich, ladylike, I know.
"True story, pizza is definitely better than people." see, I'm a good influence. The bell went signalling the end of lunch and all the students in the cafeteria made their way towards their next lessons. I retrieved my bag from my locker and went to my next class which was English.
"Meet me in the car park after school." Phoebe shouted to me just as I was getting my bag. I waved her off and headed towards my next class.
"See you at the party tonight." I looked up to see Lucas stood in front of me, smiling and looking hopeful.
"Sure." I smiled and entered the classroom. "I wouldn't miss it for the world." I added under my breath.

When the final lesson for the day was over I couldn't be happier, I was rotting away in that class room. I picked up my bag and slung it over my shoulder while making my way towards the car park where I was meeting Phoebe and Lilly.
"Hey gurl." I jumped a little when I heard Lilly's voice so close to my ear.
"Hello chicken dipper." I said once Phoebe had arrived by our sides. The two sisters gave me weird looks but carried on walking towards Phoebe's new car.
"So I'm sorry if the ride is a bit bumpy but I've just got my license and I'm really happy but yeh." Phoebe said excitedly as we made our way to her new car. It was a royal blue Renault Clio and it was pretty nice.
"Wait so you're 17?" I asked in disbelief as I scrambled over the front seat and into the back.
"No I'm still 16 but I have a fake ID that says I'm 17." She winked and I laughed out loud. Oh dear me. I nodded in reply, I wasn't 17 until May, so I had a while to go until I could drive.
The car lurched forward and my forehead smacked against the back of the headrest in front. "Sorry!" Phoebe apologised sheepishly, this time the car pulled forward much more smoothly.

"That is not a dress." I pointed towards the small strip of fabric Lilly was holding which they wanted me to wear.
"Okay fine how about this one?" she sighed and held up a mint green and sky blue dress (yeah it looked like someone had been sick on it and the sick had gone mouldy) I cringed and swatted it out of her hand so it fell on the bed.
