I could hear a light purring sound and feel a pile of fluff on my bed. Rolling over to get comfier my shoulders suddenly got scratched and I yelped falling off the bed with the bundle of fluff. Bleary eyed I saw that cat sitting in front of me. Huffing I left my room to find Nicki who was playing with her barbies by her bed.
"Nicki why is that cat in my room." I asked seriously while tapping my foot on the wooden floor. She looked away sheepishly.
"I sent him in to wake you up." she said a little while later. I sighed and felt a tickle on my leg. Looking down the cat was there walking in between my legs.
"You can't keep the cat. Firstly Liz and Trent need to know-"
"They can't know! Please don't tell them." she begged and hugged the cat which had fortunately ditched my legs.
"You can't keep feeding it on jam sandwiches." I sighed gesturing towards the bin where bread crusts were falling out onto the floor.
"I know but they won't let me keep him and your shoulders bleeding." she pointed to my shoulder and sure enough there was a shallow gash with blood oozing out of it.
"Great now it's going to get infected and I will die from all kinds of diseases thanks to that." I pointed a menacing finger at the cat who was sleeping. I went back to my room and had a quick shower then got dressed. Putting my damp hair in a side plait I went downstairs to get myself some breakfast.
I poured some pancake mix into a pan and soon I had made about 10 pancakes. What? I was hungry. Lathering them in syrup I was about to dig into my stack of pancakes, until the boys came down.
"Gimme pancakes!" they rushed forward and started grabbing handfuls of gooey mess while I was left there trying to defend myself from these messed up people. A while later I uncovered my eyes with my hands and saw I had 2 pancakes left.
"Why thank you for leaving me some food." I told them sarcastically. I started to stab my pancakes moodily and when I was nearly finished I felt something tickle my leg. I ignored it at first but then I heard the worst sound, ever.
"Meow."
"Oh no." I groaned and rested my head in my hands, hopefully I had been imagining that sound but my mind told me wrong. I lifted up the table cover and looked under, sure enough there was that cat staring at me.
"What's under the table?" Aaron asked curiously.
I grimaced and went back to the cat who was sharpening it's claws on the table leg. Cringing I picked it up by the scruff of the neck holding it at arms length.
"This is what's under the table." I sprinted towards the door trying not to get mauled to death and chucked the cat outside. I shut the door quickly before the thing could come back in, but realised something was wrong when my hands started molting. Looking at my hands I saw a mixture of cat hair and scabby skin.
"Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew." rushing over to the tap and lathering my hands with soap I was trying to turn the tap on while the boys were whooping with laughter a my failed attempt to turn the tap on.
