The hospital

Cas' POV
I woke up in a hospital bed. I looked beside me. I saw Gabe holding Abbey in his arms.

"Oh thank god!" Gabe said with happiness in his voice.

"Daddy, you're ok!" Abbey said and reached down to give me a hug. I hugged her back as well.

She then let go of me and Gabe hugged me. I hugged him back.

"Daddy, are you going to be ok?"

I nodded and smiled at her. She smiled back as well.

"Daddy, can I lay on the bed with you?"

"Sure sweetie." I said and picked her up.

She laid down on top of me and snuggled her face into my chest. I smiled down at her and ran my hand up and down her back. She soon fell asleep on my chest.

Gabe smiled at me and said "She seems to really like you."

I nodded. I soon fell asleep myself.

~2 hours later~
I woke up to the sound of someone crying. I looked down and saw Abbey crying.

"Hey, what's wrong sweetie?" I asked Abbey softly.

She looked up at me and then hugged me tight. I returned the hug and then we pulled away from the hug.

"I had a nightmare, daddy. My parents found me, they shot you, and they took me and abused me." She said crying.

"Oh honey, it's ok. They're not going to find you and nothing's going to happen to me. You're not going anywhere either. Ok honey? It was just a bad dream. It wasn't real."

"Thanks, daddy." She pulled me into a hug again.

"You're welcome, sweetie." I hugged her back.

"Daddy, I'm hungry."

"Ok sweetie."

"Gabe, can you go out and get her something to eat? Get her a burger and fries." Gabe nodded.

"What do you want to eat?"

"I'm not hungry."

"Cas, you haven't eaten all day. You can't not be hungry."

"Well, I'm not hungry."

"Alright, I'll be back."

"Thanks Gabe, bye."

We waved me bye and then walked out of the room.

"Daddy, who were you talking about when you were crying earlier? You said that you wished you could've gotten to him faster."

I looked down sadly and I felt like crying again but I couldn't. I didn't want Abbey to get upset.

"It's just someone who I care deeply about, someone who I love very much."

She looked down at my hand and pointed to the ring on my finger.

"Did they give you that as well?" She said pointing to the ring.

"Yes. Yes he did." My eyes started to get foggy again and as soon as I knew it, I was crying again.

"Please don't cry, daddy. I don't like seeing you cry." She said in a sad voice.

I wiped my tears away and she hugged me. I hugged her back.

"Please be happy again soon, daddy. I don't like seeing you sad." She said sadly.

I gave her a reassuring smile and she smiled back.

{a half hour later}
Gabe came back into the room with a bag of food and a drink. He gave the bag and drink to Abbey. She thanked him and started eating.
