Deep Darkness

Because in that moment I felt it,too: a sheer, driving terror that darkness was permanent, that the moon would stop it's rotation, that the balance would never be restored.
You see, even then, I knew. It wasn't a trick. It wasn't a show. Sometimes day and night reverse. Sometimes up goes down and down goes up, and love turns into hate, and the things you counted on get washed out from under your feet, leaving you pedaling in the air.
Sometimes people stop loving you. And that's the kind of darkness that never gets fixed, no matter how many moons rise again, filling the sky with a weak approximation of light.
That light will never burn bright enough causing you to search forever for the one thing that makes your life as bright as the sun. The sun is never coming back into your life. That love turned to hate and that grasp wasn't as strong as you thought. But your life keeps moving even if you don't want to. Your love never faded as his did. Just know it is okay to capture the moon.
