Chapter 9// You Got a Girlfriend

Once school was let out I went to my locker and grabbed my phone.
I wanted to text Ben about our project for Writing.
"Hey Ben. I just wanted to ask if you were free tonight and we could work on our project." I hit the send button and tucked my phone in my back pocket.
I walked out the front doors of the school and stopped at the sound of tires squealing. Suddenly Kylo's black Audi comes to a screeching stop.
"Get in!" Kylo shouted through the window.
"But I have to--" I started to say.
"It doesn't matter what your doing right now. We're going to my house and working on the project." He shouted back.
"Ok." I sighed and hopped in the car.
"So I see that you got my text?" I asked surprised he knew where I was.
"Yeah. Why would you be here if I didn't?" He asked chuckling a bit.
We finally arrived at Bens house a few short minutes later.
His parents were home today so he acted more skittish.
Kylo walked in and I followed behind.
"Ben your home!" A feminine voice squealed, then a short lady with gray hair revealed herself from behind the corner.
Once I was in her line of sight, she was intrigued.
"And you brought a friend..... That is a girl....." She said sounding a little confused as to why Kylo would bring home a girl.
"Mom this is Rey Kenobi. Rey this is my mom." Kylo said introducing us to one another.
"Kenobi. I think I met your grandfather the other night. He said that you were out." She said extending her hand for me to shake it. I gripped it firmly and shook.
"Yes you did. My grandfather told me about you and your husband. I was unfortunately at the mall with my friends at that time." I say lying.
"Ben! My boy! What the hell is u--"
"Han look Ben brought home a friend!" Leia said clapping her hands. Suddenly a tall man with gray hair and wrinkles in his face walked in. It was the husband I'm guessing. I sort of recognize him but not a lot.
"Ben you finally did it." He said walking towards me and gripping my shoulders.
I smiled awkwardly and just stood there.
"Did what?" Ben asked confused.
"You got a girlfriend." He said smiling.
"Ok dad that's enough for now. We are going to go work on our project. Do NOT bother us." Kylo said walking up the stairs.
"Their having sex." I heard his father whisper.
"Shut up." Kylo said not turning around just walking in the same direction.
"Totally doing it." I heard him saying again.
We entered Kylo's well kept room. I sat on his bed and got out my laptop.
I started to open it when Kylo pushed it closed with his hand.
"What are you doing?" I asked concerned.
"That project is too boring. Let's go to the mall instead." He said opening the door.
"But we have to--" I started to say.
"Go to the mall." He insisted.
He was right. The project was boring and I was getting sick of it. Why not have a break.
"Ok sure. Why the hell not!" I said too excited about our trip to the mall.
We secretly snuck down stairs trying not to make a noise.
"You know Leia. This Rey girl is really nice and pretty and smart." I was absolutely flattered. I blushed trying not to ease drop on their conversation.
"But do you think Ben would like her." I heard Han say quietly.
"I don't know. Ben had been really distant lately. Do you think it's because he's been hanging out with Hux again?" I heard Leia say.
Then I turn to Kylo who mouthed "what the hell." I laughed a little bit covering my mouth trying not to make a noise.
Kylo turned the knob and we made a break for it. Kylo slammed the door and we ran to his car.
"Hurry!" I say as Kylo fumbled with his keys trying to get them in the ignition.
He finally started the car and we backed out of the drive way. Then I saw Leia and Han run out on the porch, probably to see who slammed the door.
"Bye mom bye dad. I'll be home by 10!!" Kylo yelled waving his hand out the window.
After that I laughed non-stop.
"Good move Mr. Bond." I say sarcastically.
"Thank you." He says laughing.
There was that laugh I loved so much.
