Chapter 20// Thanks Sweet Pea

I was woken up by the sound of a lawnmower.
"Really? 12 in the morning?!" I yell half awake even though it was a reasonable time to mow your lawn :/
I roll out of bed onto the floor and stay there till I get a text. I crawl over to my phone and see its from a number I don't know.
"Hey Rey its Jackson from the store."
I unlock my phone and text him back.
"Hey Jackson."
I put my phone down and go into the bathroom. I look in the mirror and realize that my hair is greasy AF.
I ran back into my room and grab my phone and run back into the bathroom.
I close the door and lock it.
I open Spotify and play my favorite album. Anti by Rihanna.
I start the shower and grab a towel from my closet.
I get undressed and hop into the shower.
"DESPERADOES." I scream at the top of my lungs while dancing in the shower.
I wash my hair and shave my legs since I haven't shaved since we moved. I looked hairier than Big Foot.
I turned off the water and grabbed my towel.
I dried myself off and realized that I had forgotten my clean clothes in my room.
I pause my music and unlock the door.
While I was in the shower I had gotten a text from Jackson.
"So next weekend I'm free. Do you want to see a movie or something?"
Was he asking me out? He was asking my out.
I walk into my room still looking down at my phone and walk to the closet with my towel rapped around my body.
"Rey?" I hear a voice.
I shoot my head up and see Ben sitting on my bed.
"Oh my god! Ben! Heyyyyy." I say awkwardly clutching my towel.
"Hey um. I can wait outside if you want." He says getting up and closing the door as he walked out of the room.
"What the hell?" I said laughing.
I quickly changed into a t-shirt and some ripped jeans.
I opened my door and let Ben in.
"Sorry about that." He says doing that scratching the back of the neck thing boys do when their embarrassed.
"It's ok I didn't know you were going to pick me up." I say blushing.
"Yeah I thought it would be more "romantic". He says emphasizing the word romantic.
"Aw Ben you didn't have to do that." I say smiling.
He leans down and plants a kiss on my lips as I do the same.
"Oh I got you something!" I say jumping up and remembering the Sour Patch Kids.
They were in the fridge so they didn't melt into a sticky mess.
"Close your eyes and don't peek. I have to go get it from down stairs." I say running down stairs and grabbing the candy out of the fridge.
Then I see papa sitting at the table.
"You let Ben in and didn't tell me?" I ask whispering.
"I couldn't let him stay outside. It's 95 degrees outside Rey!" He whispers back.
I roll my eyes and run back upstairs.
Ben still has his eyes closed and is still sitting in the same place I left him.
"Hold out your hands." I say smiling with the candy behind me.
He does as I say and I put the candy in his hands.
He opens his eyes and looks down at the packet of candy. Then a giant grin grows on his face. He looked like a little boy.
"Rey! What's this?" He asks laughing.
"It's your favorite candy right?" I ask him letting out a little giggle.
"Yeah." He says smiling the biggest smile ever.
His cuteness was so unbearable I couldn't take it.
I tackled him into the bed with him on his back and me on top of him.
We started to laugh non stop and then Ben flips me onto my back with him crushing me.
Then he kisses me with me on the bed.
"Thank you sweet pea." He says smiling.
"Do you wanna go?" I ask him.
"Where are we going anyway?" I ask him raising a brow.
"Depends where you want to go." He says looking at me with puppy eyes.
"I don't know where I want to go." I say laughing.
We sit in silence for a while till Ben breaks the silence.
"Rey. Ever since I kissed you I've thought about you all day. Your just so beautiful and amazing and I'm asking if you will be my girlfriend." He says grinning.
"Me? Your asking me? The Ben Solo is asking me to be his girlfriend." I say laughing.
"Yes of course I will be your girlfriend." I say hugging him biting my face in his chest.
"Great. How about we go to the mall and you try on some dresses." He says looking down at me.
"For what?" I say looking at him.
"My mothers work is having a business party and she wants me to bring you." He says rolling his eyes and chuckling.
"Ok. Let's go." I say hoping up and pulling my wet hair into a messy bun.
"I like it." He says kissing my forehead looking at my hair.
"Thanks."
