Chapter 25// A Carrot with a Face

Ben soon went home since he hasn't seen his mom in awhile. What a mamas boy.
"Papa I have to go to PetCo for BB-8. I'll be right back." I say walking out the door.
"Ok bye dear." He says waving.
The nearest PetCo was a walking distance from my house so I could easily walk to it.
I pull out my phone and my earbuds and play my music. I hit the shuffle button and the song "No Church In the Wild" by Kanye and Jay-Z came on. I loved that song so much.
I hummed the chorus and walked along the busy street.
I looked around at the surroundings and saw a bird. The bird was black with a white chest. I liked birds. They were cool.
Except when they poop when ever and where ever they want. That was annoying.
I entered the plaza with the PetCo and walked into the store. I went to the dog aisle and found a bed that would be good for BB-8. I got a if one so when she gets older she will fit into it.
I grabbed a bed and went to the food aisle. I picked up a giant bag of dog food and placed it in the cart I had.
I looked around the aisle for some toys or something for BB-8 to play with. I got 3 toys for her. A carrot with a face that I thought was absolutely adorable, a ball that squeaker when you squished it, and a squeaky burger.
I looked at the collars and looked for a dog tag close to the name BB-8.
"Who names their dog Bette?" I ask myself looking at all the ridiculous names.
I finally gave up went to the checkout.
"Is this all for m'am?" The lady at the checkout asked.
"Yes." I say nodding.
I swipe my credit card in the scanner and gather all my stuff.
This was going to be one long walk home.

I stumble in the door and throw the dog food on the counter in the kitchen.
Then I see BB-8 run around the corner and jump in her bed and roll around in it.
"I think she likes it." Papa say laughing and petting her.
"I got her some food, a bed, and some toys." I say glancing at the items on the counter.
"She'll love them." He says looking at the squeaky burger.
I grab all the stuff and bring it upstairs.
BB-8 attempts to jump up the stairs but falls down each time she runs up them.
I pick her up under my arm and place her on the carpet when we reach the top of the stairs.
I place down her bed in the corner along with her toys. I play with her and her toys for a while till my phone starts to ring.
I pick it up and see its Jackson.
"Hey Jackson." I say putting the phone up to my ear.
"Hey Rey. Do you wanna go for a walk or something." He says sounding like he was in his car or something.
"Uh yeah sure. Do you want to meet at Naboo park?" I say into the phone.
"Yeah. I'll meet you at 7:30." He says.
"Ok I'll seen you then." I say hanging up the phone.
It was 7:20 so I'd better get going.
"I'll see you later BB. I'll be back soon I promise." I say walking down stairs.
I go into the kitchen and meet with Papa.
"Hey Papa I'm going on a walk with a friend. I'll be back soon." I say walking to the door.
"Ok Rey." He says washing some dishes.
I walk out of the door and soon enough I'm at Naboo park. This place was amazing because of its view.
There is cliff with a river at the bottom. And at night when you look into the river the river is almost see through.
I text Jackson and ask him where he is.
"Hey I'm here."
"I'm over by the swings." He texts back almost immediately.
I look across the park and scan for the swing set. Then I come across it. I see Jackson swinging back fourth while waving his hand. I wave back and run over to him.
"Hey. Nice place." I say sitting on the empty swing next to him.
"Yeah it's really pretty here." He says looking up in the sky. The temperature was perfect that day. Not too cold and not too hot.
"Let's go on that walk shall we?" He asks hoping off the swing.
"Ok." I say landing on my feet and walking next to Jackson.
We walk up the path and see the cliff that I was talking about earlier.
He runs up the hill and sits down on the grass area next to the edge.
I sit next to him and watch as the sun goes down. The sky slowly turns a soft pink and then into a heavy dark orange.
"Beautiful isn't it?" He asks looking at the scenery. It was a lovely sight. I wanted to stay there forever.
Bens POV:
I ran down the large hill and jumped over a large stick in my path.
I always ran on Sunday at Naboo Park.
It was my favorite place to run and take my mind off things. Like work lately.
I run down the path and see my usual rest stop, the cliff. I loved to look over the cliff and watch the sunset while catching my breath. I see some people sitting in my spot. Not that usual. People always wanted to stop there and look at the beauty. But as I approached closer I saw that the girl sitting there looked a lot like Rey. Was it Rey.... No it couldn't be. It was! I hid behind a tree to hide from her. She was with a boy! I felt rage circulate through me and charge my lungs.
They stand up like they were about to leave. Good. Get that boy thing away from my Rey.
As they stand up the boy turns to Rey. Rey looks back at him.
"Please don't do it. Please Rey." I whisper to myself as I disguise myself as a tree.
Then I see this boy smash his lips into hers. What the actual hell.
I run to the parking lot and unlock my car. I get in and start my car. I step on the gas peddle and quickly exit the park.
I hated this day.
Rey's POV:
As Jackson mushed his face into mine I stepped back and pushed him away.
"Jackson!" I yell wiping my mouth.
"What?! I thought you liked me!" He yelled back obviously offended.
"I have a boyfriend!" I yell thinking about Ben and what he would do if he found me kissing another boy.
"You didn't tell me that!" He yelled walking away.
"Well now you know you dick!" I yell as he walked towards his car in the parking lot.
Jesus. Is everyone here so clueless.
