Chapter 39// I Love You

Ben stumbled into the hotel room with me still over his shoulder. He flops me onto my bed and goes back to his things.

"So are we just not going to discuss Amber at all anymore." I say staring at the ceiling.

"Who's Amber?" Ben asks smirking at me.
I laugh and look back at the ceiling. "So wanna go get something to eat?" I ask him sitting up.

"Sure. What do you want?" Ben says sitting next to me which made me blush a little bit.
"Whatever you want." I say feeling my cheeks turn hot.

"You want some Chinese?" He asks clasping his hands together.
"Nah. What about some pizza?" I ask slumping on the bed.
"Sure. Let's go." He says hopping up from the bed.
We open the door to leave but when we try to theres a man blocking our path.
"Sorry kids can't leave. County rules." The man says holding a hand in our path.
I say nothing but just slam the door in his face.
"Rey?!" Ben says looking through the peep hole to see if he's still there.
"No one gets in the way of my pizza." I say  walking away from the door and sitting on the bed.
"Well right now we're just going to hold that off." Ben says leaning against the wall.
I glance at the window and back at Ben.
"Not necessarily." I say smirking.
"What?" He says clueless.
"Nothing just common." I say I unlocking the window.
"Rey what the actual hell?!" Ben says stopping at the window.
I stand on the rickety fire escape and climb down the ladder. It wasn't raining so I wasn't wet..... Yet.
I hop off the ladder and make my way to the pizza parlor down the street, with Ben tagging along.
"Rey wait, what if someone find out that we left?" Ben says looking back at our hotel.
"Screw it." I say waving my hand.
As we made our was down the sidewalk we felt small drops of water on our skin.
As the water pelted us harder and harder we ran under a porch of a near by house.
"How are we going to get through this?" Ben asks looking at the rain.
"Fuck it." I say walking off the porch and walking into the rain becoming soaked almost immediately.
"Rey?!" I hear Ben splashing after me.
He runs into me send both of us into the muddy grass, Ben on top of me.
"Looks like we're in a pickle." He says awkwardly.
He looked into my eyes and stared for minutes at a time. His hair was wet and longer than usual. His lips looked more kissable than usual. This was it he was going to do it.
"Sorry Rey." He says snapping back into reality leaving me in the grass. He offers me a hand and I take it pulling him on top of me again. Once he falls I connect our lips and wrap my arms around his neck.
He pulls away and looks at me with shock. He smiles and connects our lips again.
"I love you Ben."
"I know."
