Chapter 29// Hold On!

I wake up in haze in a cold room with an ice pack on my head. I catapult myself upright and look around the room.
I was in the nurses office.
I got off the small cot I was laying on and walked up to the nurse.
"Oh you're awake. Here's a note for your next class." The nurse says scribbling on a piece of paper and handing it to me.
"What happened to me?" I ask taking the note from her hand.
"You passed out." She says blandly.
"No one called 911 or anything?" I say sassily.
"Nope. Now go to class." The nurse says shooing me away. Some nurse.
"Bitch." I mutter under my breath.
I walk out in the hallway and to my locker.
I grab my books out of my locker and walked down the hallway. I had no idea what period it was at all.
I walked up to a unsuspecting girl in the hallway.
"Excuse me what period is it?" I ask as she turned towards me.
"It's 2nd period." She says blankly. Geez was everyone in this school dead?
"Ok thanks." I say walking to Ms. Kanatas class.
I take a deep breath before I walk in and open the door. All the heads in the room turn to me.
"Ah Ms. Kenobi welcome." Ms.Kanata says turning towards me.
I give her my note and sit in my seat.
Before I sit in my seat I see Kylo staring at me with the same look on his face this morning.
I ignore him and sit down.
I feel him breathing on my neck.
"Ok class so back to what we were talking about." Ms. Kanata says turning to the board.
"Rey." I hear Kylo whisper to me.
I ignore it and keep my eyes locked on the board.
"Rey." Kylo whispers louder.
"What?!" I whisper harshly.
"I heard about what happened to you in first period. Are you ok." He says leaning across his desk.
"Why would you care about me. You obviously didn't care about how I was yesterday." I say giving him a look of disgust.
"Rey you don't understand. I was still in that mind set." He says his voice cracking in the middle of the sentence.
"What mind set?" I say sounding bitchy.
"That mind set your put into when your longing for hope to fill your body and faith to rest your mind. That was my mind set in that moment." He says truthfully.
"I don't believe you." I say almost letting my emotions take over.
"But Rey you have to listen. I broke up with you for your own good." He says sounding broken.
"So that's why you screamed in my face and told me to leave." I say facing him.
"Rey you have to listen to me I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I didn't want you to get hurt." He says.
"Well your plan failed." I say crossing my arms defensively.
"Rey I know how many times you've been hurt in your life but you can get over a simple break up." He says sounding angry.
Did he just say this? Did he just say what I think he said. Oh no he didn't he did not just test my patience did he?
I stand up from my seat and raising my arms.
"Did you just seriously say that?" I ask calmly. Anger building up inside of me until it was staring to burn my fingers.
Kylo stood up also and stood in a defensive stance across from me.
"Yes. You've been hurting so much lately that you've been dumping all of your anger on people when they don't deserve it." He says putting his hands on the desk.
"Is everything ok guys?" Ms. Kanata asks turning her attention to us.
I scoff and lean on my desk.
"You think I'm the one who's dumping all their anger and hate on people who don't deserve it?! Look in the mirror you son of a bitch!" I yell at him. I felt my anger spewing out of my ears.
"Rey I think you need to calm down." Ms. Kanata says walking next to me.
"Hold on!" I say putting my hand to Ms. Kanatas face.
"Your just so disobedient and you have so much self pity for yourself you don't know what to do with it!" Kylo screams back at me.
I started to weep and tears started to roll down my face. I didn't want my classmates to see me like this especially Kylo.
I storm out of the room and run into the bathroom. I run into a stall and shut it behind me.
I was so distraught and confused that all the things he was saying was true.
