Chapter 38// He Never Loved You Anyway

We eventually arrive at the hotel without skidding off the road. We pull into a nice hotel and parked right in the front.

"How long are we staying for again?" I ask papa stepping onto the slick sidewalk. Papa chuckled lightly and grabbed his suitcase out of the back.

I grabbed my suitcase as well and rolled into the lobby of the hotel. We enter the sliding doors and see a group of people we recognize from the neighborhood.

We join the crowd until a lady steps up on a table grabbing everyone's attention.

"Hello everyone. I am with the county board and we will be helping you have a nice time these few days. We evacuated you today for safety precaution so you and your family will be safe. If you go to the desk they will tell you your room and number and give you your key. Thank you and have a nice time." She says stepping off the table.

"Ok let's go." I say walking to the desk with Papa following behind. "Name?" The man asks across the counter. "Reney Kenobi." I say glancing at the list in his hands.

"Reney Kenobi......" The man says dragging his finger down the page, "Ah Reney your room number is 2B." The man says reaching under the desk and pulling out a room key.

"Thank you." I say grabbing my key.
I turn back and see Papa, "I'm going to go to my room. I'll text you when I get settled." I say to him. He nods and turns back to the counter.

I make my way to the elevators and push the up button. The doors open automatically and I am the only one inside. The doors close and I push the button with the number 2 on it.

I feel a small jult as the elevator cascades up a floor. The doors open seconds later and I exit the elevator. I look at the signs with the room numbers on it.

I turned down the hallway and quickly found my room as I put the key in the slot and open the door.

I enter the room and see Ben standing at the other end of the room. "Hey Rey." He says confused.

"What are you doing here?" I ask putting my stuff on the bed.

"This is my room." He says smiling.

"I guess that makes us roommates." I say chuckling. I slide my suitcase off the bed and against the wall so it's out of the way and I sit  on the bed.

"So how's life?" I ask looking up at the ceiling.
"Uhm it's p-pretty good I guess." Ben says awkwardly.

"What does 'pretty good' mean?" I ask looking up at him. His face was a different shade of pale than usual which concerned me.

Good job Rey you made your crush depressed.

"Ambers been...." He trailed off like he was going to cry. "Ben it's ok to say it." I say walking to him and putting a hand on his shoulder.

His eyes started to water and his cheeks were flushed. "She's been cheating on me." He says biting his lip from crying.

So she got to date my my ex/crush and I was pretty chill about it and then she wants to abuse him and make him suffer and now this bitch wants to CHEAT on Ben?!?! This wasn't just happening.

I looked up at him, tears flowing down his face. I've had enough of this Amber. I walked to my bag and called Papa.

"Rey what are you doing?" Ben asks standing by me. "Calling someone." I say holding my phone to my ear.

After 4 rings Papa picks up the phone.
"Hello?" I hear him say. "Hi Papa can you drive me to..." I trailed off not knowing where Amber lived.

I put my hand over my phone and turn to Ben.
"Where does Amber live?" I whisper.

"She lives in the DownTown district- why do you need to know this?" He says raising a brow not crying any more.

I pull my hand away from the phone and hold it to my ear. "Never mind Papa. Sorry to bother you." I say hanging up the phone.

I put my phone in my bag and walk to Ben's bag. I pull out his black cased phone and unlock it. I always knew his password. His birth day and month.

I hit the call app and dial ambers number.
After 2 rings I hear Amber pick up. Bitch isn't gonna know what's hitting her.

"Ben?! You haven't called me in 4 minutes what the hell is wrong with you?! Are you dumb?!" Amber yells into the phone.
I collect myself and breath out.

"Hello Amber." I say into the phone. By this time Ben knew who I was calling and was trying to get the phone back. Held him back with my hand while I conversed with Amber.

"Who is this?! Why are you on Bens phone?!" She yells back. "This is Rey from the party and I would like to talk, not through a phone but face to face. So where would you like to talk?" I say calmly into the phone while holding Ben back.

"I'll meet you at the park in 10 minutes and then we can talk bitch." She says back into the phone insulting me.

"Ok your majesty." I say hanging up. I give Ben his phone back and walk to the door. "Rey where are you going?" Ben asks running up to me and spinning me around.

"Going to talk to someone. Wanna come?" I ask opening the door. Ben rolled his eyes and stumbled after me.

The park was literally a 3 minute walk so we strolled next to each other. After crossing too many roads and almost getting run over we finally made it to the park.

We walked into the parking lot and looked around for Amber. We finally spotted her by the lamppost. She spotted us as well.

"Ben Solo what the hell are you doing with her?!" Amber sneers as she approached us.

"Amber please don't do anything you'll regret." Ben says stepping towards Amber.

"Oh trust me your going to regret meeting this gremlin." She says pointing to me and raising a hand to Ben.

As Amber swung her hand towards Ben I grabbed her wrist pulling it away from Ben.
"You are not going to hurt him." I say harshly into her face gripping her wrist.

"Rey let go." Ben says calmly.
I let her go and cross my arms defensively.

"Amber I was going to call you but I got caught up in some things." He says running a hair through his hair.

"Are you cheating on me?!" Amber yells at Ben putting a hand on her hip.
"Would that matter to you?! Your cheating on him!" I yell pointing my finger in ambers face.

"Rey...." Ben says holding me back from attacking Amber. "Get that dirty ass finger out of my face." Amber growls.

"Oh I will get in your face if I want to get in your face try me." I say trying to get free of Ben's hold.

As Ben lifted me by the waist and carried me over his shoulder I continued to yell and scream at Amber.

"Ben Solo we're over!" Amber yells as we walk back to the hotel.

"Good he never loved you anyway!" I yell as I hang over Bens shoulder.

As Amber slowly disappears in the distance I start to calm down. "Thanks Rey." Ben says with me still slung over his shoulder.

"No problem."
