this week is going to be different.

im getting my new account on saturday. its wednesday... im nervous but at the same time, i cant wait.

so anyway

school has been going... well... strange. the other day i had a drive in drivers ed. and i had to drive with bryden... and well... let me put it this way. we were born 1 day apart (im older) and we have go on eachothers nerves since 1st grade. it was... a... uh... quiet drive. we didnt talk unless we absolutly had to.

other than that... well... a lot of things have been going on.

this weekend... satuday... its going to be a big day.

im going to tell a story, ok?

there once was this boy. he wasnt popular, but he wasnt made fun of. he was just in the middle. he had a older brother and a little sister, both only half siblings, since all three of them had different dads. this boy was what held his family together, dispite being the middle child.

his family had problems. his mom drank to much and was on drugs. every day got worse and worse. she never hit the little sister, but the boys... well... it was never good for them.

the older brother had a girlfriend and was doing ok in high school. he and his girlfriend came to my house a lot, mainly for food. (did i mention this is a true story?)

this boy's mom never took care of them. just hit them, slapped them a hundred times. the older brother and his girlfriend called CPS a bunch of times on her, but apperently you can slap your kid with an open hand, as many times as you want.

but this boy... this poor strong boy. he was 14. he couldnt hold together a family. especailly when he was getting beat every day.

but somehow, despite all that was going on, he was still smiling.

i remember the last time i saw him, it was halloween. he had this ugly as hell mask and was scareing his little sister with it. it was laughing. he was always smiling and laughing... he never was sad, not that he showed. even his friends didnt know...

but a few days after the last time i saw him... something must have happened...

because that night, his little sister found him. he was in his room, a note on his bedside table. but he wasnt asleep, no, no one sleeps hanging from a rope in their bedroom. he was dead.

things were different after that.

the next day at school, classes were empty. teachers and students kept crying for weeks.

he was a good kid.

he definatly deserved something better.

but he is gone now.

and the school cried for weeks

but eventually, they got over it. they dont remember that day, November 2, 2011. they dont think about him anymore.

his sister still does. she is fragile. you can tell just by looking at her. she looks like the slightest touch will break her.

his brother still does. he went crazy for a while. his girlfriend, the one that he thought would be forever, she left him. he was devistated. it hit him the worst. he took care of his sister, but he was never the same after.

the mother. she probably has forgotten she even had a son, because in stead of thinking this is all my fault i need to stop drinking, she started drinking more. more and more.

and one day, she came home, completely past drunk. at least 3 times over the legal limit. she told the brother and sister to get in her car, they were going to a party. and when the brother tried to tell her no, that she was to drunk, she hit him. they got in the car. they prayed to God to keep them alive as she drove into the town. they had to stop for gas and as the brother went inside to pay, he told the clerk, call 911, my mom is drunk and i cant get her to stop the truck long enough to get my sister and me safe.

they arrested the mother that night. the brother and sister went to stay with some grandparents. it turns out, the mother was 2 times over the legal limit for alcohol, and that was at least 2 hours since her last drink.

she was dangerous.

now, the sister and the brother are staying with grandparents, trying to get on with their life.

this is a true story, about a boy who was at one time in my class at school. he never made it to high school. he never got to choose what he wanted to do with his life. he never got to be an adult.

so ya, this is a sad time of year for me. and the worst part? no one else remembers. no one else cares. im the only one that still thinks of him, im the only one that looks at the date November 2 and instantly thinks of him.

i hate that

something so special as a life-especially the life of this sweet young man- is gone. and no one remembers.

it isnt fair

why is this world so cruel?
