Chapter Four
Crunch, crunch, crunch.
The colourful leaves beneath my feet made weird sounds. Don't you just love autumn?
It's been a week, school's been decently normal, I hang out with Rhys, and Oli and Elliot's actually starting to get nicer, but not a lot. Maybe he's not that bad after all.
But you know what would be really nice? A girl friend. Like a friend that's girl. Except it's not really possible since St. Paul's don't really have any girls. In fact, it doesn't have any girls.
But as if in que, a girl came up to me.
"Hello! I've never seen you around before. Do you go to Rosewood?" she said.
"No, I go to St. Paul's," I answered.
"Are you sure? Because that's an all boys school. There must be a mistake, my twin brother goes there," she frowned.
"Nope, no mistake. My dad thought putting me in an all boys school will somehow increase the chances of me getting into a good university," she gave me a look, "Yeah, I know, it's stupid really. I'm Joey, what about you?"
"I'm Grace, and my twin brother's name is Rhys, not sure if you've heard of him, but he has dark brown hair that I always tell him to cut but he never does. It falls into his eyes a lot," she rolled her eyes at the thought of him. But I could tell that she loves him a lot.
"Yeah I heard of him. In fact, he helped me pick up my books today and I had lunch with him,"
"Really? That's cool. I was just going to go eat dinner with him and his friend Oli, you know the one that's..." she trailed off.
"You mean gay? Yeah I know him too. Well have fun!" I waved as I walked off but I was hoping she was going to ask me to join them but I guess not.
"You know, you can come along if you want but I just figured that you had a lot more important things to do than go to Mark's Pizzaria, you've been there right?" she suggested.
"Um, no. Should I have been there?" I feel like it's some place I should've went by now. Almost like Times Square in New York.
"UH. Yes! You've been here since school started right?" she looked astonished.
"Yeahh..." I wasn't sure if what I said was right.
"Soo, that means you should've been here for over a week. And let me get this straight. You still haven't been to Mark's Pizzaria?" her face scrunched up in shock. I was confused, what's so good about this Mark place?
"Nope, never heard of it, never been there," I shook my head.
She sighed, "oh you silly Americans. I can't believe it! They have the best pizza in the world, and I've been to Italy. It's settled then. You're coming with me to eat with Oli and Rhys. Your parents won't mind will they?"
"um...considering the fact that they're both in America right now, I'm pretty sure they won't mind," I laughed. So I guess I made a friend that's actually the same gender as me. Yay! Wow, I'm weird, girls don't usually say that on a daily basis.
"Really? Who do you live with then?" she sounded surprised.
"I'm not sure if you've heard of him, but Elliot Hunter," even though I knew she probably heard of him because he's the "head Phany" - I still found that extremely dumb - Rhys probably told her about him.
Also, judging by her facial expression after I told her, she definitely knew.
"WOW. Just wow. I literally have nothing to say to that. Did you see Charlie? He's so hot, not to mention Elliot," she gushed as her mind drifted off into lala land, how did I know? Her eyes literally went all milky and it looked like she was in a trance.
