Chapter Twenty-Five

After fussing over me for nearly an hour. Grace finally finished.

I looked really great. That's a fact. But to be honest. I looked to good. I don't want to give Thomas the wrong idea.

My hair was styled nicely with a white bow in the back and Grace even sprayed anti-frizz into my hair to stop my fly aways. Then she offered me a very short white dress but I said no. I told her it was too cold, and it was, but that wasn't the main idea. I just really didn't want Thomas to think that I'm taking this friendly date to the next level.

So I decided to wear a pair of nice leggings with uggs and a cute top.

Grace thought it wasn't nice enough, but she didn't know why I was doing this. If it was an actual date, with the boy that I actually liked. I would totally dress up. But that wasn't case.

The doorbell rang almost right after Grace left and I skipped downstairs.

I was excited. I was thrilled but then I was nervous.

Because I realized something. I realized something almost ten minutes into the drive. Something that I forgot to do.

I forgot to tell Elliot where I was. And I had a feeling he was going to be mad. Okay fine, a little more than that.

Elliot's POV

Where the hell is that girl?

I paced around the room. It's nine o'clock! What if she got kidnapped? There are a lot of rapists here. What if one of them got hold of her? If only I didn't help that brunette Kathy with her homework again. She keeps asking me for help on her homework when I'm sure she wants to do more. I mean she keeps closing the distance between us when I'm teaching her algebra.

I ran a hand through my hair. Maybe I should go outside, no I can't. Where would I go look for her? I have no freaking idea of where she is. That would be a complete waste of time. Maybe I should call someone.

I scrolled through the contacts on my phone.

Alfie, Rhys, Oli, Charlie, and Grace. Those were the few people that could actually help me with this problem that I'm experiencing.

First I called Alfie.

"Do you know where Joey is?" I said hastily without really properly acknowledging him.

"Um no?" he said, sounding confused.

"Okay. Bye," I hung up. Then I moved on to the next person on my list.

Rhys, Oli, and Charlie had no idea where she would be. By the time I pressed Grace's name I was absolutely jittery and jumping around my room like a mexican jumping bean.

"Do you know where Joey is? Yes or no. Give me a quick answer," my eyes darted around the room as if she would just suddenly appear.

"Okay, I do-"

"WHERE THE HELL IS SHE?" I demanded as if she was my lifeline. Which she could be.

"Could you just calm down? It's not really your business but I'll tell you. She's on that date with Thomas. I told you didn't I?" She sounded bored.

"What no!" shocked I am. So she was on that date with Thomas? That guy gave me the chills. He isn't good enough for Joey.

"Who's good enough then?" Grace smirked. Shit. I spoke aloud. Again.

"You heard that?" I grabbed my chin with my hand.

"Yes. So. Who do you think is good enough for her?" she hinted. As if she was expecting me to say something more.
