Epilogue

5 months later

"Can we go now?" I tapped the edge of my suitcase impatiently. How long does it take for him to get ready?

It's July. School has ended. Can you believe high school is over? I sure can't. Time flew by so fast, one day we were having the time of our lives in Paris and the next...well let's just say we were on our way to New York. Again.

I got accepted in Julliard. Yes yes, yours truly is going to become an actress (hopefully). Elliot got into New York University (NYU). Everything is perfect. At least for now it is. He's hoping to get a degree in either law or medicine. I'm really happy for him, and he knows that. The good thing is we're going to be renting an apartment and our schools are only a 15 minute drive away from each other so we won't have to suffer the long distance relationship problem most couples has to endure.

Our apartment is extremely crappy. We're two teenagers renting an apartment in Manhattan. What do you expect right? Elliot didn't want his parents to pay for him at all even though they offered. If his parents even pitched in a tiny amount, we would be living in a mansion. As much as I would like that, I think we should build up our own future, without any help from anyone. We could only afford a one bedroom apartment with a tiny kitchen and living room. I'm excited. I've always wanted my own apartment.

My dad married Ellis. I wasn't too keen about it when it happened but now that they're happily married, I don't really care anymore. As long as my dad is happy then great! Ellis isn't too bad now that I've actually gotten to know her.

As for my mum. Well...she's as happy as ever. I don't know what got to her but I have a feeling I know what's up. Nowadays, you can barely ever see her without a smile on her glowing face. She keeps saying nothing is wrong, nothing wrong. Blah blah blah. But I know better, I mean, I'm sure there's nothing wrong with her, it's just...something's definitely too right. In fact, I think she's found her special someone too. Just like dad.

"I'm coming!" Elliot's head poked through the door, his suitcase trailing behind him. We weren't going to carry too many things this trip. Just going to settle in our apartment, get comfortable with the Big Apple and then come back for more of our things. That's why we're going there so early.

"You ready?" I grabbed his hand.

"You betcha," he pecked me on the cheek.

The future is scary, that's a given. But I'm excited as well. I'm excited to see what the future has in store for us. Hopefully we'll get on a roller coaster that only goes up, it's probably not going to be a really smooth ride, but that's what makes life special. Right?
