"Someone is going to die today." A blank look is on my face as I stare at Teresa and Ruby.
"Jordie, calm it down a notch, nobody is going to die today–"
"If I search up on Google tomorrow by typing in 'who died yesterday?' Will you be positive that there will be 'no results were found'?" I ask, placing a hand on my hip.
Ruby lets out a small huff, giving up on trying to change my bad mood. Teresa just stares at me as if I've grown two heads, which last time I checked, I don't have two... I have one.
"You've been here for barely two weeks, Jordan," Teresa tells me as if I'm slow and don't already know that. To say that I feel offended by that is an understatement.
"Okay, and?"
"And you've successfully rejected to join the cheerleader's squad, –which is an honor to join, mind you– asked to join the boys' soccer team which they rejected you, you pranked the Coach –you're lucky they didn't catch you or else you'd be expelled on the spot– and you've skipped class yesterday... Am I forgetting anything?" Teresa says, a look on her face that just screams, 'Try me'.
I let out a small awkward cough before saying in a small voice, "You forgot that I've broken every stereotype that this school has for blondes and now people avoid me like I'm some kind of plague."
"And you managed to talk to the bad boy of this school like it's nothing," Ruby pipes in before quickly glancing at a glaring Teresa. She retracts back and let's out a nonchalant little shrug while glancing at her nails. "But you know, no big deal or anything."
"But why," Teresa starts in an exasperated tone as she looks at the ceiling, "Why would you choose today as the day to act like you hate everyone and become more snappy than usual?"
I shrug. "I'm in a good mood and I don't want anyone to ruin it so I'm pretending that I'm in a horrible mood," I say, grinning, "Isn't that great!" I exclaim cheerfully, clapping my hands.
They both stare at me incredulously before shaking their heads. "No!" The say simultaneously.
I cringe at their loud voices. "Jeez, okay," I mutter to myself. Glancing around the library as Ruby wants to stay after school to finish one of her projects, I notice that the librarian is nowhere in sight.
"Well, I'm gonna roam the school," I say as I bury my hands inside my jacket's pockets. I give them a two-finger salute as I walk out of the library. "I'll see you two at the fair!" I yell over my shoulder.
"Shhh!" A voice says, a figure popping up in front of me as the woman glares and has a finger over her mouth.
I jump, almost letting out a startled shriek, as I stumble slightly, placing a hand over my chest. "Jesus Christ, don't scare me like that, woman!" I say, blinking rapidly, "I'm not in the appropriate age to have a heart attack yet."
She doesn't say anything else but just gives me another warning glare. I merely shrug, exiting the library as I turned a left to walk around. I'm still slightly disgruntled that the soccer team rejected me, they didn't even let me try out! Like how dare they?!
Letting my thoughts consume me as I angrily continue to walk, I don't even notice that there's someone coming my way even though the hallway is completely empty.

Humor*BEING EDITED VERY SLOWLY AND HEAVILY* I gasped, glancing at the boy next to me. "She cursed... is that a bad sign?" He makes a funny face and looks at me. "You should run." "Great." Rich and privileged, Jordan Rossi had it all. Maybe too much of it...
