"It is Wednesday, my dudes," I tell my friends, putting my tray down.

Whipping out my phone, I adjust my goggles. "Ahhhhhhhh," I exclaim, throwing my head back.

After my little performance, my friends watch me with amusement. Cara and Teresa giggle while Ruby smiles, slightly confused. Jake shakes his head and continues eating his fries. It's Ernie that frowns at me, pointing a fry in my direction.

"It's Friday though."

"She's quoting a vine," Luna tells him, giving him a look as if he should know.

Ernie's mouth forms a small 'o' before he continues eating his food, his cheeks tinted pink. Smiling, I sit down and place the goggles in my bag, reminding myself to give it back to Karri. Grinning, I turn back to my little group and look at a certain brunet expectantly. He doesn't notice for a good ten seconds until I cough loudly. He glances at me, never lifting his head up before he sighs. Crossing his arms, he realizes that I'm not going to give up easily so he straightens up.

"Um..." he starts, his cheeks red from embarrassment. His eyes flicker to me, showing clear irritation, realizing that everyone's attention is on him. "So... in two weeks, it's— it's my..." he mumbles out the next part, forcing the others to lean in to hear.

"Speak louder," I sing at him.

"Bundle?" Teresa repeats in confusion, exchanging glances with Ruby.

"No," Jake says, looking like an agitated cat. "In two weeks it's... my bir-..." he grimaces before patting his chest, forcing out the next word slowly. "Birthday."

I grin, clapping my hands excitedly, silently praising him for being able to get it out. "We're gonna have a small get-together at his house," I continue excitedly for him.

"Blondie," he warns, covering his face. "Stop," he pleads, peeking though his fingers at me. "Please."

"Okay," I agree, deflated before giving him my best sad puppy eyes. After all, getting out of trouble always requires certain types of skills.

He glowers at me, crossing his arms before sighing once more. "Fine," he says. "You're all invited to my house," he tells my friends before giving them all a pointed glare. "Don't even think about inviting anyone that I don't like," he informs them.

"Aw, he likes us," Teresa coos, smooshing her cheeks and giving him her best sweet smile.

He glances at her and states flatly, "You're all an exception." Another glance at me, and he mutters, "Besides Jordan, she's the only one I like."

Grinning, I hide behind my burger. "Definitely."

"Hey, Ernie," someone calls out, ruining our pleasant atmosphere. "Where's my homework, huh?"

Glancing behind Ernie, questioningly. I clench my teeth, realizing that it's that kid that called me a toy. He's standing behind Ernie in a casual stand, his hands in his pockets as he stares down my friend's back.

Alex laughs, greeting the obnoxious guy as he maneuvers me to sit beside him. "This is Jordan, treat her nicely, why don't you?"
