Today was the first day of my new job and although I was grateful I was nervous and started having second thoughts. I got myself and Jasmine ready for school whilst Sonny stayed in bed dead to the world; or so I thought.
"Where you going looking all smart?" He asked making me jump.
"Tasha offered me a job so I'm going to work for her." I told him. He laughed.
"You what? You ain't worked a day in your life! Why you trying to start now?" He said. I rolled my eyes.
"Because, now we got another mouth to feed; I can't do that off of doll money and now you got the sack it's not as if I can depend on you is it?" I stated. He flew out of the bed and into my face so quickly I don't think I even had time to blink.
"You trying to say something?" He said holding onto my arm tightly.
"Yeah, get the FUCK off of me. I am tired of you taking me for your punching bag! Been with you for SEVEN years and I have your daughter and another child on the way. You should have got on your damn knee by now but no! Instead you wanna cheat on me and you want to beat me like I'm the one who's done you wrong when all I have ever done is held you down, been supportive and stood by you despite everything!" I had tears in my eyes. I was truly tired of this. I walked off but before I left the room I turned to him. "Sonny...I am tired...keep pushing me. I will disappear and you will never see me, Jessica AND this little one again." Well he didn't like that he grabbed me and then pinned me up against the wall.
"You threatening me? Huh? I can't hear you Jess!! I asked are you threatening me?"
"Get off!!" I said and pushed him. He went to hit me but stopped and hit the wall instead.
"ARGH!!" He screamed.
"What? You scared Tasha would notice that you hit me so you hit the wall?" I smirked.
"Not even, you will do a good job to cover it up with make up like you do. Init?" He smirked and walked off. He was right. I was always hiding it because I was ashamed. I fixed up myself and got Jasmine ready, dropped her to school and then made my way to Tasha's workplace.
"Hey girl! How are you?" Tasha greeted me when I arrived.
"I'm good, just a little nervous." I told her.
"Don't be. It's not like I'm not going to keep you on." Tasha said to me, then continued. "So this week is for training only, you won't be dealing with no customers. I want to get you comfortable with the software first." I listen as she spoke then saw a guy come in with what looked like breakfast. Just the smell of bacon made me feel sick.
"Do you want anything?" Tasha asked.
"No, but where is your toilet?"
"The staff toilet is just over there." She said and I ran off really quickly. I managed to make it to the toilet and throw up. This was one thing I didn't miss. Morning sickness. I needed to go to the hospital and find out how far gone exactly I was. As I flushed the toilet and opened the toilet door there she stood with her hand on her hip.
"If I didn't know better I would say somebody is pregnant again..." Tasha said. I sighed.
"I found out the day you messaged us to come to your new house." I said hanging my head.
"So why don't you seem happy?"
"I am, I just really want this job."
"I am not going to sack you because you are pregnant I will just have to find someone for a temporary fixture whilst you go on maternity leave. How far gone are you?"
