If anyone had told me that having a child would be so amazing I would have had one ages ago! I had the prettiest baby girl in the world and she was such a good baby. Marnie didn't cry much and she didn't have me up all hours of the night.

My life was great. I couldn't complain. I had Christmas at mine simply so everyone could be around Marnie. What made things even better was I thought I would have to cook but everyone brought a dish and my mum was head of kitchen. I know Marcia felt a way but she physically couldn't help. She was getting worse and it was sad to see but having us all around did make her feel better.

I was changing Marnie when there was a knock at the bedroom door.

"Come in." I said.

"Thanks for this. Means a lot to me." Malcom said as he walked in smiling at Marnie.

"No problem. Can you take her. I'm going to shower and change. Haven't had a minute to do so."

"Sure. See, this is why I made the propo..."

"Not this again Malcom." I said as I rolled my eyes.

"Yes. You're just being stubborn." He said somewhat humoured.

"Stubborn? Malcom we are divorced. Why would I want you back in here living with me? This is why I moved out the home we had together. Besides, this is a two bedroom house. One room for me, one room for Marnie. There's no room for you."

"Oh there's room..."

"Room? Where?" I said as I looked at Malcom who winked at me. "Wait. Hold up. Whose room? My room? Absolutely not!" I said and started laughing.

"Why not?"

"Why... why not? Malcom have you hit your head? I'm not sure if you are aware but we ARE NOT TOGETHER!! You cheated on me, you had two kids out on me. We will never get back together. We are co-parenting. I'm cordial with you. That's it! I don't want to be with you. I can't be with you when I don't trust you."

"Oh come on Steph. It's only ever been you. Deep down you know this."

"Is it? Well who said I ain't moved on? That's another reason you can't stay. When I have a man around what the hell would he think with my baby father living with me. No. no way."

Malcom laughs.

"Another man? You're funny. You are still my wife..."

"Errr... no. No I'm not!"

"Errrr.. yes. Yes you are! I ain't signed a damn thing. And I don't intend to either. Sooooo you're stuck with me. I'm not going to give up on this family we have right here either. Merry Christmas Wifey." He said before leaving the room.

I stood there gobsmacked.

He hasn't signed the papers? Why the hell not?!

I called my solicitor.

"Merry Christmas Steph."

"Heyyyy... Merry Christmas!! Sorry to call you at this time during the festive season but Malcom just told me he hasn't signed the divorce papers. Is this true?"
