#8 :: Not Everything Is Shared

Today was the day of the big move. I was super excited! The house was a three bedroom house with a study, an attic and a den. Also had a huge back garden with a great view. It was indeed a family home I had always wanted and now I was finally getting it. The kids were with the nanny and I had help from Ryan, Reece, Delano and Malcom helping me and Calum. I was surprised Malcom came to help but apparently Steph said that he needs to keep busy and this was a good way. When Malcom got here I decided to have a quick word with him.

"You don't have to talk if you don't want to. But I know exactly what you are going through. So if at any point you want to stop and take time out or you do want to talk. I'm here and I understand."

"Thanks Alex. I appreciate it." Malcom said and gave me a big hug.

I missed my mum something crazy and I know how hard it was when she first died. Even though he was cracking on with it I could see the emptiness in his eyes. Reminded me to pay a visit to my mothers grave soon. I wasn't really a fan of the cemetery but I was her only child and I guess if I didn't make her grave look presentable no one else would.

With the boys help, by the end of the day everything was moved in and most rooms had been unpacked. The girls were coming over tomorrow to help with the interior design and homely touches that us women give. I invited Tasha but with her not attending Jesse birthday I didn't think she would attend this either. I would be having strong words with her when I did see her though. She can't just disappear and refuse to keep in touch. Surely she knows we will worry.

I wanted the house to be completely finished before the boys moved in. So the nanny had Jerry at Calum's old house and I let Ryan have Zack this weekend. He was completely over the moon to be taking him and Zack was even happy to go.

After the girls had helped me make the house homely, Calum went and got Jerry and Ryan came and dropped off Zack.

"Hey Lex. Nice place." Ryan said as him and Zack came in.

"Yeah mum! This is nice! Where's my room?"

"Why don't you go upstairs and find your room Zacky" I said to him and he ran off fast to do just that.

"Look at him go." Ryan said.

"Yeah he likes things like this." I said.

"Oh wowwww!!" We heard him say from upstairs.

We both laughed.

"So Carla is starting to have contractions and the baby is due. I may not be able to have Zack this weekend."

"Awwww. That's cool. Let me know once she does give birth and once you lot are home I'll bring Zack round to visit his little sister."

"You'd do that?" Ryan said sounding somewhat shocked.

"Yeah. Course. Why not?"

"I just love that we can all get along."

"That's how it should be. We are all adults after all."

"True. Well I'm going to get going now. I'll keep you posted."

"Okay take care." I said to Ryan as he left.
