#8 :: Not Everything Is Shared

19) ALEXANDRA

It's funny how life can be so great one minute then not so great the next. Everything was good. Work was great. Me and the girls had reunited. Things were going well with Calum and I and then in one week my mother gets sick and is in hospital. Alex is in hospital after being thrown down the stairs by that bastard Sonny and Steph and Tasha are beefing because her sister been sleeping with Malcom!

I don't believe Tasha knew. The stories Tasha told us she couldn't have known. Even though we are all close me and Jess were closer and Steph and Tasha were closer. So I find it hard to believe Tasha knew. I mean she only just started talking back to her sister. Junior was already born when Tasha and her sister started talking back. I really wanted to have the two sit down and talk but I was so busy with my mum work and Zack. I was running on no sleep. Due to mum being in hospital I would work from home but not really work I would be at the hospital then when Zack finished nursery I would go get him and tend to him until his bedtime then I would do the work I had to do by the time I would sleep I was up again to get Zack ready for nursery to then be at the hospital and so on. Plus there was trying to squeeze in seeing Jess and helping out and making time for Calum.

It was Saturday and I was cooking some food to bring to my mum when my doorbell rang. When I went to see who it was I was surprised it was Calum and Jerimih.

"Hey you guys! What you doing here?"

"Trying to help." He said as I let him in.

"Help how?" I said as I took Jeremih to Zacks room so they could play.

"Wellllll... I know you're tired. So I have a proposition."

"Go on...."

"Well you have two choices but you have to pick one. Either you and lil Z come and stay with us or.. We come and stay with you guys - the nanny too. Wait let me explain before you start making up your face."

I laughed because he knew me too well

"I'm listening..."

"Zacks nursery ain't far from Js school. The nanny can take him when she takes J. You can work from home in the morning do what you can until two or three o'clock then go see your mum for a few hours come back and have some YOU time. Recharge your batteries. Have a nice bath, a good meal and relax. You're doing so much and not giving yourself a break. God forbid anything happens to you. Who will look after you?"

"You by the sounds of it."

"Only if you let me." He said as he came and kissed me.

I could fight and lie to myself about how I felt about Calum but it's clear as day. We speak everyday and he will do little things like pick me up from mine to drop me to the hospital then pick me back up to drop me home just so he can see me. Our kids got on like a house on fire and I think that was the deal breaker for me.

"Mummy mummy mummy! Jmya said he's staying with us!" Zack said. I found it so cute that he couldn't say Jerimih so he made up his own name for him.

I looked at Calum knowing he told Jeremih knowing that he would say something to Zack. With Zack being the only child he loved having company. The extra help would be just what I needed.

"Well.. Only if you are willing to share your room and your toys."

"YEAH!! I'll make space mummy!!" Zack said.

I laughed as they ran off.

"Maybe I need a little help." I said.

"It's not weak you know. Nor is it showing a lack of independence. Everyone needs a little help. You help me get through my days and you don't even know it."
