"Mummy, where we going?" Zack asked as we started driving.

"It's a surprise!" I told him. Calum and I had decided to let the boys meet each other as they weren't far apart in age. We had been talking non-stop the past five months and he was everything I could have wanted in a friend. Yes I said friend. I wasn't ready for anything else. Plus we was both always so busy. He was making plans for his second restaurant and I had more than enough on my plate with these accounts, plus my mum was ill. So I had been taking care of her.

The last date we went on was to a painting class. I thought it was a bit weird but it was actually quite fun. Calum could not draw to save his life and neither could I so we laughed at each other. After the class we was talking about how we both wanted to take our sons out on a Saturday. I loved having little outings with Zack. He always had such a great time and he loved that the day was all about him. I loved that I could make it all about him. I mentioned the funfair and circus that was coming to West London and Calum said he had heard about it and wanted to take Jeremih also. So we decide to make a day of it.

As I pulled up to his house him and Jeremih was outside already waiting.

"Hey." I said and smiled.

"Hey." He said and winked.

"So how are we going to do this? We both driving or?" I asked.

"Well I thought we would take my car. But you are more than welcome to drive it if you want?" he offered.

"No, no, no. I am happy to play passenger for once." I said.

I had been driving from before I was allowed. It got worse once I actually took the test and passed. So when someone offers to drive I never have no complaints. I could feel Zack behind me. He was very friendly if he knew you but if he didn't he was quite as a mouse.

"Hey Zack, this is Calum and his son Jeremih. They are coming with us to the surprise." He looked up at me and stayed behind me. I smiled.

"Excuse my son. When he don't know you he is very cagey."

"You taught him well. Unlike my son who will go to anyone." Just as he said that Jeremih came over.

"Hi. My name is Jeremih. What's your name?" he asked politely.

"My name is Alex and this is my son Zack." I answered him.

"Hey Zack. You want to play ball?" he asked. Zack looked at him, then looked at me, then I nodded my head.

"Okay." Zack answered.

"Well, one day you lot can play ball but not now because we have a surprise for you both. So you guys have got to get in the car." Calum told them. We helped them into the car and started our journey.

As soon as we arrived to the funfair Jeremih screamed out.

"FUNFAIR!!!"

"Yaaay!!" Zack screamed. I smiled I was glad the kids was excited. For the whole day both me and Calum was able to spoil our boys and make them have a wonderful day. They went on rides, we won presents for them, we would take part in competitions and make it parent and son verse parent and son or parents verse the kids. We had a great time and we hadn't even gone to the circus yet.

We was on our way to buy some candyfloss when we passed an artist. His drawings were amazing. He drew them himself but they looked so real life as if it was a photo that had been taken.

"Would you like a family portrait done?" he asked as he noticed us staring at the photos. Me and Calum looked at each other. If I wasn't so comfortable around him it would have felt so awkward!
