I opened up the kitchen cabinet and pulled out the box of Nutrigrain bars. I grabbed a strawberry one and a blueberry one. I threw the blueberry bar over my shoulder and heard the crinkling of the wrapper.

I looked behind me to see Mason standing in the doorway with his arm in the air from where he caught the Nutrigrain bar. I turned back to fiddle with my breakfast as Mason came over and kissed the side of my head.

"Good morning," he whispered in my ear.

I smirked. "Morning. Now, eat your breakfast." Mason chuckled and opened up his Nutrigrain bar. I bit down on mine, closing my eyes as I tasted the sweet granola-like bar. When I finished, I tossed the wrapper away and headed out the back door into the yard.

I walked over to sit on the white swing that hung from the big oak tree. I sat back and closed my eyes. I placed my hands on my lap and took a deep breathe, smelling the fresh air. A gentle breeze blew through my hair, making it flow up around me.

I started to rock the swing back and forth when something shook the swing slightly. I didn't even have to open my eyes. I could tell who it was by that smell. That sweet, familiar smell.

I scooted over to lean against Mason's side. He wrapped his arm around me and stroked my hair softly. I breathed in his sweet scent as I leaned up against him.

Mason kissed the top of my head before he rested his chin on top of it. "Beautiful," he whispered.

I peaked open an eye and looked up at him. "What?"

Mason looked down at me with his loving ice blue eyes and subtle smile. "Beautiful," he said slightly louder.

I shifted slightly against him. "What's beautiful? The sun?"

Mason shook his head. "The sun's pretty and all...but that's not what I was talking about."

I tilted my head at him, puzzled. "Then what's so pretty?" I asked.

Mason chuckled, "You are."

I couldn't help the smile that played on my lips. Finally, I stopped trying to hide it and beamed a bright grin. I wrapped my arms around Mason and hugged him tightly. "I love you," I whispered.

Mason hugged me back, stroking my long brown hair with one hand. "I love you, too. I always have, and I always will."

I knew that Mason was there for me. He loved me and I loved him. And truthfully, I was okay with all of this. Mason and I seemed a little bit closer than we did before. We didn't really try to hide the fact that we were a couple and being all lovey dovey with each other. Apparently, everyone in the pack could tell that we were perfect together and that we liked each other a lot even before we knew ourselves. How ridiculous is that?

"Come on." Mason stood up and held out his hand for me. I placed my hand in his, and he pulled me up. We swung our hands back and forth as we walked around the pack house and into the forest.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

I saw Mason smile out of the corner of my eye. "Just to have a little fun." I turned to glare at him so that when he glanced down at me, he had to cover his mouth with his free hand to keep him from bursting with laughter.

I slapped his arm, causing him to lose his grip on his mouth as his laughs echoed through the woods. "I swear, Mason!" I screamed.

I growled in frustration as Mason continued to laugh. I ripped my hand out of his and turned to march back to the pack house. Mason ran after me. "Aww, come on, Sammie. Don't be like that."

I froze where I was and waited for Mason to catch up to me. His footsteps slowed as they came to a stop behind me. Mason's scent surrounded me as he enveloped me in his arms. "Sammie, you know I would never do anything to hurt you. I love you."
