I felt a cold, wet nose stick into my ear, causing me to jump up in surprise. "Rosie!" I yelled as she fell off the bed, startled by my actions. "Oh my gosh, girl, are you okay?" She yipped sweetly and jumped back up onto the bed.

She curled up on my lap and whined softly. I leaned back against the headboard while I let my mind drift and I pet her head. "I know, girl," I whispered. "A lot is about to happen. And I don't know who I'm going to lose this time. Heck, it could be anyone: mom, dad, Mason, Alex, Alpha Drake, and so many more people I care about. But it has to be done or we will lose even more than we will with this battle. And...it's possible that I won't make it out of this battle. So Rosie, I want you to go stay with Jasper and Rex if I don't come back. I want you to be a happy girl. You have always been there for me ever since I was little, and I just want you to live a happy life. Okay?"

Rosie whined, lifted her head, and licked my face. I chuckled slightly as a few tears started to fall down my cheeks. I wiped them away and pulled away the sheets to get up. I walked into my closet and dressed and then headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and do my hair and make up. Rosie followed me around like a lost pup until I opened the door and the two of us walked down the stairs.

While I went into the kitchen for some breakfast, Rosie barked a goodbye and ran out the front door to go to Jasper's house.

I smiled and went to pull out two strawberry nutrigrain bars. I opened the fridge to get some apple juice before I sat down at the table and munched away while I got lost in thought. I was so lost that I didn't notice it when someone walked into the kitchen.

I jumped up with a gasp as something touched my shoulder, but I hit my head on it and fell back into the chair, clutching my head and groaning.

"Ow," Mason groaned, holding his chin. "Why did you do that?" He asked.

I scowled at him. "I didn't do on purpose, dummy!" I held onto the top of my head in pain.

Mason bent down to kiss the top of my head. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you when I came in."

I sighed. "It's fine. I was just...thinking about some stuff."

Mason grabbed my hands and crouched down to my level to look at me with those icy blue eyes that searched my own. "Hey, I know a lot is going on. But we're going to get through this. We will always be together no matter what, and I will love you forever and always."

I smiled while I started to cry again. "I know. And I love you, too." I sobbed as I wrapped my arms around Mason's neck and soaked his shoulder. He rubbed my back and made soft "shhh" noises to comfort me. He whispered reassuring words in my ear and let me cry everything out.

Finally, I stopped, and I pulled back to look at Mason. He raised his hands to wipe away my tears before he kissed my forehead. "Come on," he whispered. "We need to go now."

I took a deep breath and nodded. Mason held out his hand for me to grab before we headed out into the training fields. Tons and tons of warriors were fighting each other, training for the battle. Mason and I decided to train together for the afternoon.

We threw several arms and legs out, blocking each other's attacks. I ducked underneath Mason's arm before darting in and out for several attacks. We trained all afternoon until about five, not even stopping for lunch. By the time everyone was done, we were all starving. Luckily, most of the women in the pack that weren't warriors had cooked a huge amount of food to both feed our pack and the visiting packs. Now, that's a lot of food.

I sat with Mason, Ari, and Alex at the dining table to eat dinner. "So...tomorrow's the day..." Alex started. We all looked down at our plates.

"Yeah..." Ari finally said.

I took a deep breath and raised my head. "You guys..." They looked up at me. "I know we're about to fight in a harsh, horrid battle. But I just want you guys to know...that I care about all three of you. And I hope we all make it through this. And I don't know where I would be without you three. And without Abigail."

"Abigail was something special," Alex said. "If she were here right now, she would still find a way to be cheerful. She would be laughing, being so carefree and helping us all feel better. She always smiled when no one else could. But now, we need to smile for her because she's not here to smile for all of us." We nodded and smiled. We would smile for Abi because she would smile for us. And we loved Abi and each other more than anyone could understand.

"Let's hang out tonight," Ari suggested. "Let's have a last bit of fun before the fight."

"Okay, what should we do?" Mason asked.

I smiled wickedly with narrowed eyes. "Anyone want to race?"

They all stared at me with death glares. "You're. On." They said in unison. We grabbed our plates and put them away before running as fast as we could out the front door, shifting in the air as we jumped, and taking off like bullets around the border.

I howled as I ran, leading our group in the race, of course. The wind whipped through my grey and white fur, whistling in my ears, and letting my friends howls and laughter echo in the air.

"I love you guys!" I screamed with all my might. They returned my words, and we continued to laugh and howl as we raced through the forest, our forest, our pack. Together forever.

Heeeelllllooooo, my friends!!! I'm back again with another chapter! Two chapters in one day; I'm on a roll right now! Let's see if I can make it three (but truthfully I doubt it)! This chapter took a lot less time to write than the last one, but it was kind of easier to write. We are getting so close. It is time, my friends. For the battle to begin. And apparently, my mock AP exam isn't until April 15th, so I feel a lot better now!! 😄 Well, have fun! Vote and comment! :)
