~Asher~

I could smell her the moment she walked into the plane. The scent was absolutely tantalizing and made my mouth water. It wasn’t a heavy floral smell like most girls, she smelled like freshly picked mint, pineapple and morning dew, it awakened all my senses and the moment I saw her I simply stopped breathing, my body was screaming and my wolf was dangerously close to the surface.

‘She is the one.’ My wolf rejoiced and then all I could feel was an overwhelming pride swelling in my entire body. ‘She is ours.’

She could be a runway model but I knew by the innocent look on her face she had no clue how truly divine she really was. The other men in the cabin were thinking exactly the same, it was worse for me because I could actually hear some of their thoughts. Part of the perks of being an alpha, you are able to hear the link other wolves have with each other.

Werewolves are beautiful people to see and this girl was no exception. I was drawn to her in ways I have never felt before.

I stood up the moment she sat down in her seat and closed her eyes to enjoy her music.

‘Alpha Woods, what are you doing?’ My beta Liam mind linked me and I answered him without adverting my eyes from the beautiful creature in front of me. ‘She is the one.’

I could sense his relief, it’s not every day an alpha finds his original mate. Finding your real mate is a gift that one should not waste.

There was a guy looking at her in confusion and I walked towards him. ‘I give you two hundred dollars cash if you switch places with me.’

Without hesitation the man accepted and we swapped tickets. When I looked down at the seat number I couldn’t help but smile, she had to talk to me, because she was now in my seat.

‘Hey, I think you are in my seat.’ I said and watched her opening her eyes. God, those eyes were as clear as the ocean. Her bright brown eyes looked at me in astonishment and curiosity.

I have heard about wolves finding their mates, but it always happened in an instant, they both felt the spark between them and they would claim each other.

But when I saw her looking at me I needed to restrain myself because she didn’t seem to reciprocate the feelings I had. I was able to hide my disappointment and just wait for her reply.

‘Yeah I know, I have the aisle seat, but I would like to sit by the window. Do you mind if we switch seats?’ She asked me in a confidant and friendly tone. Her voice was angelic, she sounded so friendly and kind. I couldn’t believe my luck. The moon goddess has truly blessed me by giving me such a beautiful mate.

‘Sure.’ I replied and sat down beside her. I couldn’t help but admire her entire body.

I held out my hand and said. ‘I’m Asher Woods.’

‘Mila Lowell.’ She took my hand and sparks erupted from the put of my stomach and spread through my body like wildfire. Looking at her face I could see that she could feel it too.

Then it hit me, she was still under age, that is why she probably couldn’t sense me as her mate. She let go of my hand quickly and I asked her. ‘So, where are you headed?’

She gave an adorable snort and answered in a duh-tone. ‘Wisconsin.’

I couldn’t help but grin at that, she was a funny one. ‘I know that, but where are you going in Wisconsin?’

‘Why do you want to know?’ She asked me with distrust in her voice.

I looked at her and thought of all the things I want to know about her but I just answered. ‘Just interested.’
