Within minutes Aaron, Liam and other enforcers were in the pack prison. Asher was still talking the Alpha through our discoveries and will be here as fast as he can.’
I told them what I had just explained to Asher and they quickly locked up the guards.
‘That explains why they knew we were off with Harding to imprison him.’ Liam sighed. ‘Why didn’t we see this? It’s a good thing you decided to stay behind because otherwise they would have shot everyone and gotten away with it.’
I looked at the guards. ‘What did you report to Harding?’ The guards stayed silent. ‘Answer me.’ I ordered and growled at them.
They cowered away and said. ‘We told him you decided to give the rogues clemency and take them to your territory, we also told them you were going to take care of Tanner.’
‘Is that all?’ I growled and felt my power become even more menacing. They would have killed innocents without thinking about it.
‘Yes.’ They said and cowered away even further. Aaron touched my hand. ‘Sis, I believe you frightened them more than enough. That guy looked like he’s seconds away from peeing himself.’
I was still livid because their treachery could have cost several she wolves and pups their lives. I was relieved they were too stupid to give a full and detailed report to their leader and now had no way of doing so because they were imprisoned themselves.
Asher came down the prison stairs. ‘The alpha agreed with me. We need to put down the enemy wolves but we can take the rogues with us.’
Without further hesitation he grabbed the gun I had recovered from the guards and walked into the silent room where Tanner was still detained. We heard nothing for a couple of seconds. Then we heard the muffled sound of a gun going off and he came back. He nodded to three enforcers. ‘Please clean that up.’
They did as instructed.
After that he turned on the two guards. ‘For disloyalty to your pack and alpha, disobeying orders and endangering the lives of innocents your alpha has found you two guilty of high treason. This will result in the death penalty. Because he is not able to perform the deed himself he has authorized me to execute your punishment. Do you have any last words?’
The two wolves looked shocked and petrified. They remained silent.
Asher mind linked me. ‘Close your eyes love.’
I didn’t do as he asked and I saw him shoot the two wolves right in the head. It was a clean kill with minimal damage done.
He cleaned the gun and put the safety back on. He looked at me and saw I hadn’t blinked. ‘I always hate this part of my job.’ He mind linked me with a sad tone in his voice and came towards me. ‘But it’s necessary sometimes.’
‘Let’s go home.’ He said out loud.
When we walked back into the house we left Liam and the rest to clean up the mess. They hadn’t freed the other rogues yet because Asher had decided we didn’t know them well enough to let them go. This pack didn’t have the collars of holding as he called them. They were basically silver bracelets that didn’t touch the skin but provided information on the whereabouts of people carrying them and it prevented them from shifting.
Every wolf would get five enforcers with them and that way they will be transported to Crimson Blood.
We would travel with Bryce, Connor, Liam, Aaron and Randall, an older enforcer who looked extremely tough.
