~Mila~
Before we could do anything I mindlinked everyone. The talk with Quinn made me realize these men had been inside the office, in the dining room and several other rooms inside the house and if we could come up with a plan to tap into an enemy’s territory to get information by using modern technology than others could think of the same thing. If their objective was recon and information gathering we first needed to sweep the house to see if they had bugged anything to gather more information.
‘Be quiet and do not talk about today’s event. We need to check the house for microphones and cameras.’
Asher nodded and mindlinked me back. ‘Good idea my love. I will ask Liam to take two enforcers and check the intruders for microphones as well.’
I nodded back and checked the room with Quinn and Asher. We quickly found eight microphones stashed between plants, books, on his desk, underneath his desk and even in the couch.
Asher mindlinked me. ‘We can’t use this office for a while, I will use another room for that purpose.’
We walked out of the room and Asher locked it after we got out.
Liam came back with more than twenty microphones. He mindlinked us. ‘We have the men sedated and detained in the dungeons. They will not be able to send any messages through.’
Quinn shook her head. ‘You will need to scan them for microphones placed underneath their skin.’
Asher and Liam looked at her with confused faces. ‘Ask Mila, she came up with the same plan to get information from these unknown guys.’
She shrugged and looked at me.
I didn’t care that much for sweeping for microphones anymore but I knew it was necessary. We needed a plan and fast because apparently they already gained control of the lunar Sky pack within four days and without anyone noticing. Asher assured me he had people searching the house for microphones.
I walked into the library and within seconds I knew this would become my favorite place in the entire house. The two-story, octagonal-shaped room had beautiful wood paneling, every wall and corner had shelves, there were columns and a beautiful cast iron spiral staircase. It also had the same oak wood floor that was everywhere in the mansion.
In the middle of the room were several comfortable looking chairs placed.
Asher sat down in one of them. ‘What have we found thusfar?’ He asked Liam.
‘Well, the men all had microphones on them, I checked but none of them left the group to go to the restroom or anything else so we pretty much have the route in which they could have placed microphones covered. We need to talk to Paul to make sure this time the real Callum Smith will show up with some of his men.’
Just the thought that the enemy was able to infiltrate so deep into our perimeter was really a daunting thought. Asher probably thought of the same thing. ‘We need to be more vigilant towards strangers, we have given the rogue wolves clemency but we need to be sure they do not send messages across to people outside our territory.’
‘Aaron mentioned Bryce had some more information we might be able to use.’ I threw in and Asher nodded ‘Mindlink them to come here.’ He said and smiled at me with a worry plastered across his face.
‘Don’t worry, they won’t get to me.’ I smiled reassuringly. He nodded and said. ‘And if they do they will probably be in for a nasty surprise.’
Quinn smirked at that remark and Calia snickered in the back of my mind.
‘Yeah, they will.’ I replied and Quinn said. ‘We thought of a plan.’ And started to explain.
