~Mila~
The walk to the pack prison was brief and we walked in. I could just feel the cold seeping in my body. There was an eerie atmosphere and Asher mind linked me. ‘The cold is not only the cellar being below ground level but for us wolves it’s also the silver bars the prison is made from.’ He pointed out more ways a prison was constructed. I liked that he gave me information about this because this would be stuff I needed to learn if I was to become Luna of Crimson Blood.
There were high cages bolted down in the floor and only the floor was touchable. The rest was made out of a steel and silver alloy that was strong enough to withhold attacks from the strongest of wolves.
I didn’t realize that a normal prison would be unable to imprison a wolf. Because we were stronger we could break through normal iron bars as if it was made out of clay. The silver in bars also weakened the wolf so they wouldn’t be as strong in the prison as they would be outside of it. It also disabled their ability to mindlink and smell. It truly incapacitated them.
I saw the five wolves and the two men I took out and the men eyed me warily, they knew a bit of what I was capable of. ‘Good evening gentlemen.’ Asher said and turned to the wolves. ‘Shift, there are clothes next to you so you can get dressed.’
They did as instructed and I looked away. One of the men who had fought me continuously looked at me. ‘Why is she here?’ He asked Asher in a disrespecting tone.
Calia growled in my mind, she was pissed off because of his tone.
I decided not to answer. But I mindlinked Asher. ‘I beat his ass, but he seemed reluctant.’
Asher smirked. ‘Why should that interest you?’ He countered, not bothering to answer that question.
‘Woman shouldn’t be able to fight. She brought shame upon me and my family. I hope they never learn I was beaten by a mere girl.’ The rogue practically growled.
I smirked and leaned into the back wall with my arms crossed. I had let my hair loose so they wouldn’t see my huge mark. That would tip them off on what my position was.
Asher took out a chair and sat in front of the man. ‘So you have a family? Is that why you want to be in a pack? To protect them?’
The man looked at him and in his eyes flashed pain. ‘That’s none of your business.’ He growled.
Asher grinned. ‘You made it my business when you trespassed into this pack. So answer me.’ He ordered in his alpha tone.
The man shivered and his hard exterior cracked. ‘Yes, they need to be safe.’
‘I might be able to help you with that.’ Asher said. ‘You have a mate and children?’
The wolf nodded. ‘My real mate and two girls.’ He said and then turned to Asher with a face tainted with despair. ‘He will kill them because I failed.’
Calia growled. ‘He is being forced. You felt he didn’t want to fight you. But he had to, they are blackmailing him.’
‘Who is the he you are talking about?’ Asher asked.
‘Jace you crack like an egg when someone talks about your family. Shut the hell up.’ Another wolf yelled angrily.
Asher ignored the man. ‘So your name is Jace?’ He asked the man and he nodded. ‘Jace Felton.’
‘Where are you from Jace?’
He seemed more reluctant now and some of the other wolves growled. Asher opened the cell door. ‘Let’s go somewhere more private. Follow me.’ He ordered.
