We found Lilly within minutes after we left the library. She was chopping away in the kitchen, clearly super pissed about something.

‘What’s wrong?’ I asked her.

‘My husband is a dick.’ She said seething and chopped a few more unions with a speed and precision I wouldn’t be able to top. ‘He thinks I should just stay home and let the big strong wolves do all the fighting. I’m fed up with his intolerable behavior.’

Quinn smiled. ‘Then why do you abide by his wishes? Last time I checked you are a luna and thus never inferior to your mate. You are equals and he should take your wishes into consideration.’

Lilly put away the knife and looked at us both. ‘You are right.’

‘I talked to Asher and he gave permission to round up all the she wolves and train them. We need to start right away.’ I told my mother in law.

Her eyes started to sparkle. ‘Let me call some women and then almost all the she wolves in the surrounding area can be here within a couple of minutes.’

Quinn smiled at Lilly. ‘Good, we meet at the pack training grounds in ten minutes.’

We left Lilly to call people and went out to the trainingfield.

That was the moment I felt Asher stress out and I turned to Quinn. ‘They figured something out and it’s probably not good. Ashers stress level is going through the roof.’

She nodded. ‘We’ll know soon enough.’ And turned to look at the pack house once more.

‘Who are they?’ She pointed towards a group of large men.

‘You do not know them?’

‘Nope, but I see that the older alpha is with them so it must be alright.’ She pointed towards an attractive looking older man who looked like Asher only his features were more withered and he didn’t have that friendly vibe around him that Asher did have.

She bumped into me. ‘Ready to meet your father in law?’

‘Not really but I guess I have to.’ I said in total honesty and we moved towards the men.

‘Alpha.’ Quinn said and bowed a bit.

He nodded and ignored her after that instead he looked at me inquisitively and asked without beating around the bush. ‘Are you my sons mate? Mila Lowell was it?’

‘Yes.’ I answered and looked into his eyes.

He came towards me and gave me a hug. ‘Welcome to the family Mila.’

Okay, that was unexpected.

He turned me around and looked at me. ‘Yes, you will do just fine by his side. I want to introduce you to Callum Smith and several of his men. When I heard about the situation Paul had contacted me and said Smith wished to speak with Asher urgently. My son however was preoccupied so I took the liberty of welcoming them.’

I looked at the men. ‘We had a situation earlier today when several men claimed to be Darklight warriors, we have them in custody now but how do I know you are telling the truth?’

An older man who radiated power stepped forward. ‘There were imposters posing as us?’

‘Yes, but we figured them out before they could cause any real harm, they were the ones who attacked Melany as well.’ I told my father in law who looked baffled.

‘Why wasn’t I informed of this?’ He demanded annoyed.

‘Maybe if you let your wife finish instead of dictating her what she can and cannot do you might get more information out of her, instead of hanging up the phone.’ I heard behind us and saw an angry looking Lilly practically pouncing on her husband.
