It was the next morning, Josh had stayed at mine last night since a massive storm had hit and we were told to stay in until further notice. Apparently the worst was yet to come, but the weather people could hardly even get it right.Luckily Josh kept a pair of jogging bottoms and a few tops at mine, so he didn’t have to stay in his old ones. Josh had made us breakfast, since I didn’t have much in it was just toast with eggs but I didn’t mind, it tasted okay anyways although I wasn’t really eating it, I had lost my appetite lately. It happened the first time, El once said that I had developed an eating disorder, but you had to be skinny to have an eating disorder, didn’t you?
“Diana?” I heard a voice say
“Are you okay, you’re staring into nothing.” Josh asked me
I stopped dreaming and turned to face Josh. “Yep, I’m fine I was just dreaming” I replied
“Right, well since I’m going to be stuck in here for at least the next 24 hours, how about we put up the Christmas tree? It is November 31st we might as well put it up” Josh said
“Yeh, I guess. It’s in the loft” I replied
“Can I ask you a question?” Josh said still sitting on the sofa.
“Yeh sure” I replied a slight uncertainty in my voice
“Well, Do you want to come to mine for Christmas?” he asked nervously
I paused for a second unsure of what to say.
“It was just a thought, I mean Perrie, Sophia, Liam, Niall, Louis, Harry, Zayn will be there.” Josh said
“I’d love to” I replied
“Perfect” He replied
“But if we’re going to have to Christmas Day at yours shouldn’t we put up a tree there?” I asked
“Well we can have a tree at both our houses” Josh replied
“Come on then, it seems like we have all day at least” I responded getting up of the sofa and heading to the loft. I pulled down the door, the ladder unfolding out, and landing on the floor with a thud.

“No, its light green, it won’t fit in there” I replied
“No its light blue, it goes with these” Josh said
We were arguing, or as my mother called it debating, about how we put up the Christmas tree, I’d had it for years, you put the branches with the same colour band in the same colour hold in the tree trunk, but since I’d had it for ages the blue and green bands had faded into the same colour.
“See it fits in the green hole” I replied placing the branch in the green hole
“Maybe you were right” Josh said
“Maybe?” I questioned jokingly
“Okay, you were right” He replied
We had the television on, the Christmas music channel. I had to go back to college on the 14th December, and it was only for a week before Christmas.
All of a sudden the channel changed, neither of us were by the remote, which was placed on the large coffee table, which was currently located in the kitchen since all of the Christmas decorations were covering, the cream coloured carpet.
“URGENT WEATHER WARNING YOU MUST STAY IN YOUR HOMES UNTIL MONDAY MORNING, OR UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, THIS STORM IS NOT OVER, IT IS ONLY JUST BEGAN” An old-aged weather man said pointing at a dull grey patch on the map, the same grey colour as his eyes.
“Monday, that’s 2 days away” Josh said
“It looks like we have no choice” I replied
“We can have a 2 day sleepover!” Josh shouted like a little boy.
“Okay” I replied
I heard my phone bleep, signalling I’d got a text, from the black marble, kitchen counter.
“You want me to get that” Josh asked
(Josh’s Pov)
“Yes please” Diana replied sticking one of the last remaining branches on the top section of her Christmas tree.
“Okay.” I replied
I got up of the Christmas decoration covered floor and walked over to Diana’s phone, a text appeared on the lock screen.
It was from Danielle….
