The last vow

Today was the day, my little boy was getting married. I was at the salon having my hair and my make up done for the event, i'm so excited, Evie is going to look perfect in her ivory dress, she had had it especially made and it suited her perfectly, because we were Devine's every bridal shop in the whole of Australia was trying to get her, she was pretty over whelmed at all the fuss it had caused. Nolan had proposed a year earlier, in January it was now 17 months later in June. It was an outdoor wedding around 200 guests for the ceremony, about 300 for the after meal.

'How do you want your eyes?' The make up artist asked

'I'm not sure, what do you think is best?' I replied

'Well, you've got blue yes so brown would complement them a lot should we try for a light brown smokey eye?' She smiled

'That seems perfect' I beamed

'You okay there?' Evie, who was getting her nails done, asked

'Yes are you, its all so exciting is it?' I retorted

'I know I can't believe todays the day' She smiled back

She looked perfect, her white court shoes peeping out from under the dress, her hair up in a beautiful bun, pieces framing her face which looked beautiful, minimal make up but beautiful no the less. The train of her dress was covering the floor, her wrist wearing the bracelet Nolan had got her on there first date.

'Woah' I whispered

'Just snap my neck so I can die this pretty' She said

'Mom, we need to leave' Loren, who was a bridesmaid, she was wearing a red dress with a white flower on her left side, she was now 14 and I was now 54, she looked stunning, when you look at her standing next to her mom, they look identical, but she also looks incredibly similar to her father.

'Okay beautiful, where's your sister?' She asked, Loren's sister, Olivia was also a bridesmaid as was Alana, they were getting ready in on of the other bedrooms.

'We're here' Alana Smiled beaming at her soon to be Sister-In-Law

'Oh my god, you all look so beautiful' Evie hugged us all.

'You look beautiful Mom' Lani smiled

'Yeah she does' Evie beamed

Everyone had taken there places in the church, it was all lit up with pretty lights, it was so perfect. We were at the  end of the aisle about to walk in. I was going first with Alana, then Loren was going with Olivia followed by Josh with Evie, since Evie's father died shortly after she was born, Josh was going to give her away.

The music started up, and I beamed at her. I walked in my arm around Alana, every one was looking at us taking Photos, I took my place and Alana stood at the side of the aisle, Loren held Oliva's hand every one beaming at them.

Then came my new daughter in Law and her new Father in Law. Every one smiled, took photos and whispered about how pretty she looked.

Then it all started.

'I trust you have made your own vows?' The vicar said

'Yes' Evie and Nolan replied in unison.

'Nolan if you will' The vicar nodded towards Nolan.

'Evie. I wasn't all that into you when I saw you first all those years ago but then your smile caught me off guard and  struck me odd and in that very instant when I saw you smile I thought to myself, you're everything my soul's  been searching for' Nolan started, we got a bit teary eyed.

'I promise to make you as happy as I was when we got engaged, I promise to never eat your iced gem's I promise to watch all you're favourite TV shows with you and carry you to our bed when you fall asleep in my arms because that is where you belong, with me in my arms' Every started crying even Evie, I handed her a tissue.

'Now you Evie' The vicar smiled

'I never wanted to get married, I never wanted to have kids. But you, you, Nolan Josh Devine changed everything, I'm standing here today, feeling like a princess getting married, while my two beautiful girls are sitting next to each other making me the proudest mom ever. They say that when you look at someone you love your heart skips a beat but it's been 10 years and every time you walk past it stops completely. I love Nolan' She beamed

'The rings please' The vicar asked

The best man, Nolan's best friend Joey handed them over.

They placed the rings on each others finger everyone going a bit teary eyed.

'I now pronounced you man and wife  The vicar smiled

The kissed each other, never looking happier than they were in that exact moment.

'I love you Evangeline Louise Devine' He whispered in her ear

'I love you too Nolan Josh Horton' She beamed

'If I may have your attention the toasts shall begin' One of the Hotel workers said

Alana stood up, she looked terrified bless her. She held her glass of champagne in her left hand her other one in a fist.

'I remember when I was in school and we were doing a projects on Greek history, our teacher told me that people are born with 2 heads, 2 bodies and 2 hearts but separated so they only have one and spend the rest of their life searching for their other half, and just knowing how happy Evie makes my brother, I think they've found there other half, cause they make each other complete. Now, although I love my brother, i'd better embarrass him just cause I love him.' Alana spoke

The night continued, and as much as I don't want it too, it did. Evie and Nolan were dancing as were Olivia and Loren were twirling around themselves. And in that moment I knew, our family was complete.

A/N This is a very short chapter because I'm writing it in a cupboard while playing hide and seek, don't judge, you're suppose to have fun when your a teenager.
