I was determined to sort this out.
"Jack...please tell me what happened."
"Amelia. I don't want to ruin your relationship with Finn, but...."
I waited for Jack to continue but he didn't.
"but...?"
"but I think he likes you. He can't go out with you because...he just can't."
"What do you mean he likes me? I know he doesn't. We sorted everything out today, and we're just friends, Jack seriously don't worry... Oh and what did you mean by he just can't?" I said laughing awkwardly.
"You really mean that? and okay. You know I like you, I think I made it slightly obvious yesterday. I know we haven't actually gone out yet but yesterday was the first time I actually managed to talk to you. I know i've probably said this already but it feels like ages - in a good way. "
I didn't really know what to say to that. "Well, I like you to, and Finn doesn't feel that way about me, like I told you we're just friends"
Before Jack could answer, Miss.Saunders walked over to us "Jack Harries, i'm glad to see you've decided to part from your usual crowd for once, as nice as they are they can be a little disruptive at times, but Amelia Richardson is very well-behaved, anyway you two, it's time to get to class. Am I correct in saying you have geography with me?"
"Yes miss" I answered.
"Okay, well i'll see you both there." and she walked back to talk to the other teachers standing by the door.
As she walked away Jack checked his phone. "Amelia Rose, my mum asked if you wanted to come and eat at ours this evening."
"Are you sure she wouldn't mind? I don't want to intrude on your family."
"Of course not, we'd all love you there."
"Okay, well i'll have to double check with my parents, but i'm sure it'll be fine. I'm gonna go check on Finn."
"Okay, well see you in geography bye Amelia Rose."
"It's Amelia. See you in geography"

I spotted Finn walking to his IT lesson, "Finn!!!!" I said making him turn around.
"Yes Amelia?"
"I explained to Jack that it wasn't like that. He understands now. I'm sure he'll talk to you at lunch. I'll see you around yeah? Don't worry about it though, he's fine with everything."
"Well thanks for coming to see me. It's typical him to not come and see me though. Did Jack tell you about the text our mum sent us?"
"Oh yeah, i'll probably come, if that's alright with you?"
"Of course, see you Amelia."
"Bye"
I turned and ran off to geography, only having two minutes to get there before I was late.
