Ha so sorry I'll have a real cover tacked on this thing by next weekend.
"Honey, how was school today?" My mother asked from the kitchen, as I walked in the door.
"Great!" I lied, and put my bag down on the floor.
"Any homework?" She handed me a bag of chips, which I thankfully took.
"Nah," I lied again, heading out to the backyard.
"More football? Are you going to finally try out for the team?"
"Mum.. please. No more questions."
She looked uneasy. I took the football outside and started to juggle it, easing into my element, not thinking of the problems at school. As I was about to kick the ball into the goal with finesse, a door slammed. My foot jerked, and it landed in my neighbours yard. A boy was outside. He was looking at my ball in distain, and then he looked at me.
It was JJ. He seemed to remember me, as he crinkled his nose.
"You really do play football?" I nod nervously, embarrassed and shocked, "well work on your aim, it's a little off," JJ rolled his eyes, threw the ball back at me, and then headed back inside his new home.
I picked up the ball and examined it. Then I examined myself. I was wearing a maroon jumper, the sleeves falling off my arms. My legs were covered my dark jeans, and my shoes were white converse. I didn't look like much of a football player.
"Mum!" I shouted into the house, dropping my ball.
"Yes?" I ran inside, picking up my wallet.
"I'm going shopping."
She looked at me incredulously, "shopping?"
"Yes. Shopping."
Heh heh short chapter sorry about that, but I really wanted something out tonight- I'll post more.. tomorrow? 8th grade is tough, man.
