"Hi JJ!" Simon said cheerily, entering my apartment.

"Oh! Hi!" I sputtered, hoping Cal wouldn't appear out of nowhere, "Um-uh.. what are you doing here Simon?"

"I thought you wouldn't mind if I stopped in! Have you seen Ethan in the last few days?" He asked as he took off his shoes, putting them next to the door.

"No?"

"Well, he got engaged!"

"Huh?" I questioned, confused and distracted, glancing up the stairs.

"I helped him get the guts to just get on one knee and ask Em to marry him!"

"Oi! That's amazing!" I struggled out.

"I know! I'm so proud of him!" Simon gushed.

I walked around the kitchen searching for my phone. Maybe if I texted Cal he'd get the message. Simon trailed behind me, and while he was distracted by helping himself to my fridge, I found my phone on the table.

"How about we celebrate with some drinks!"

"Uh... sure Si," I mumbled, texting Cal.

I heard a bing come from the living room. I snuck over as Simon twisted open his drink. Cal's phone was on the coffee table. Dammit.

By now, I was pretty sure I was in complete trouble. Then, like in slow motion, Cal started to stomp down the stairs with nothing but a towel around his waist.

CAL! I mouthed and pointed up the stairs. Frustratingly enough, he didn't understand what I meant, and stood planted in his spot.

"Simon?" I called. He was still in the kitchen.

"Yup?"

"Cal is over.... and I was about to film a video with him. Want to join?"

Cal's mouth gaped wide, finally understanding the message. He sprinted up the stairs, hopefully to get changed.

"Yeah! Sure sure." Simon said happily. He was so adorable. His smile just made me feel guilty.

"I'm going to grab some stuff from upstairs, including Cal. How about we all do a patience test? Can you get some things from the refrigerator to toss at me?"

Simon chuckled, "always, Jide."

My face hung with guilt as I turned away from him. I was being so bad to a guy so good.

Hi again, it's me.
I hate school.
