JJ's POV

I sat in my living room, staring straight ahead into the distance. Simon had just left, and Callum peaked in sheepishly.

"I-" He started, and I turned around.

"Go."

"What? JJ! No I just had to say I-"

"Leave. Go away. Something, anything. I just don't want you in my home."

"JIDE! This isn't what I want!"

"Cal, you aren't what I want. Please leave." My voice was wavering, rage and sadness entering it.

He didn't answer, and he wordlessly left, slamming the door behind him.

I decided. I didn't want Cal. I wanted Simon, and I had to stay true to that.

POV- ???

I crept up the stairs quietly, just incase I woke him up. He was hiding in a corner of the room, and he made a small grunt, peering above a blanket. His eyes gave off a wave of fear, like the ones I remembered seeing in pictures from many years ago. It was distressing.

"Are you okay?" I whispered, trying to keep my secret in the attic.

He tried to nod, but seemed a little stiff.

"Maybe it's time for you to go back..." I suggested, once more. Once more I got the same response, a scared glare.

I was going to just leave the bowl of cereal and leave, but as I turned, his mouth croaked out a sound.

"Wait..."

I spun around. It was the first time I had heard him talk since the night I took him in.

"I would, but I'm ashamed."

I nodded, "we could get you help, you know."

"No. I can do this," he started to stand up, and grabbed my hand, "with your help."

"One more week?" I asked, and he shook my hand.

"Thank you Sarah."
