JJ stayed for the night, and we watched a movie. The Lion King, to be exact. A movie we had bonded over back in school.

"SIMBA!" JJ roared. I was looking at him more than I was at the film. His arm was around my shoulder, and my head was sinking into it. I gave him a dazed grin, and he stared down at me, laughing, "you alright?"

"Probably. A bit dizzy." Because of him, obviously, "am I dreaming, Jide?"

He traced my jawline, "only if I am. And I really hope I'm not."

"Finally," I mutter, "no more drama."

"I think drama can be a bit fun, I guess, unless I'm in it. Then no fun," JJ laughed bitterly. I sort of just wanted to relax and watch the movie. Maybe that wasn't going to happen. He saw how uncomfortable I was, "okay. This isn't a great first date is it?"

I was taken aback in a good way, "it is?" I blushed a bit at my shock. JJ snorted.

"It's a causal romantic get together if not anything else," I nodded to that.

He hesitated for a moment, thinking, "do you like adventure?"

"Yes. Please."

He flicked the TV off and stood up, pulling out his phone. I assumed he was making a phone call, so I slipped away for a moment. Ethan was sitting at his desk, computer screen blazing. He was probably editing a video.

"Hey, I'm heading out," I said to him. He mumbled a bit numbly and waved at me. I sighed, "go to bed Ethan. Your eyes are glazing over."

JJ grabbed my wrist excitedly, and started to pull me out the door as I slipped on a hoodie. I stomped along heavily behind, a bit tired. When we got in the lift, he started to notice I was dragging. JJ still grinned like a maniac.

"Wake up a bit, Si!" He poked my nose. I scrunched it a bit, which made him laugh, "when you find out where we're going, you'll definitely wake up."

"Where are we going?" I asked, rubbing my nose.

"You'll see," JJ bounced around the lift. It was the most excited I think I had ever seen him. Well, at least since FIFA 13 came out, and still, the hype wasn't that extreme.

I started fill up with anticipation. What has Jide planned, and on such short notice? I didn't understand.

Then, the lift shuddered and creaked. It rocked to the side, and scraped against the wall. I tumbled to the side, hitting my head on cold metal. JJ grabbed onto the side railing tightly.

Then, the lights flickered out.

I let out a small yelp, "how far down did we go, Jide?"

"I think two floors," he croaked.

I lived on floor 39. We were 37 floors above ground level. I pressed the alarm, which rung as I pushed on it. Maybe no one heard, since it was almost 12:00. Most people were asleep by then. The doorman was probably snoozing anyways.

I shut my eyes tight. JJ inched closer to me.

"It'll be alright."
