Simon had always been on the outside at school. He always watched the others. That is about to change, quite fast, in fact.
He meets Olajide, another person with so many secrets to hide.
"Hold up! Simon!" Aster shouted at me in her American accent. I didn't hold up for her, "come on! Why're you so upset?"
I turn around and glare at her. She didn't back down.
"I'm upset because my past is coming back to haunt me."
Yesterday...
I was sitting in my dorm room. I locked my roommate, Nathan, out without his key, but I really didn't care.
"OI!" Nathan pounded on the door. Simply, I put my headphones on. He froze for a moment, not knocking, not shouting. In a quiet voice, he growled, "you're a jerk, you know that?"
After that, I was pretty sure he had left to go get an extra key. Fine by me, that would leave me a good twenty minutes to myself. I turned on my computer, and opened a YouTube channel. KSI.
I hadn't seen him since the end of Secondary. Though I really yearned to see JJ, I didn't want to face him. He moved on from me. He kept all the friends I used to treasure. They were all still close, and formed a group called the Sidemen. JJ had over a million subscribers. I remember, back when I had first met him, he had a little over a thousand. How a hobby turned into a job that could support him for the rest of his life, at the mere age of nineteen. I envied him, yet I still remember the feeling of butterflies in my chest when he touched me.
Then I clicked on my own channel. Seeing as it had 100,000 subs, he probably hadn't noticed I had one. It wasn't like I was in the forefront of his thoughts anymore.
Then, there was another knock. Assuming it was Nathan, I didn't respond. Another knock. It definitely wasn't Nathan. It came from the window. I got up and peered out it. My voice became stuck in my throat. It was a familiar face. A face I had never expected to see in real life again.
"Hi Si," she smirked, "Good to see you."
"Em?" I gasped in shock, "wha- what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to teach you how to have fun," Em held her out through the open window.
I took it without hesitation. The rest of my life has just begun.
