If you didn't notice already, I'm better at writing multiple, short chapters. I need to get onto the next or I get bored. Short attention span, that's all lol
I watched them leave one by one. Josh and Tobi together, them being neighbors. Then Em, who had football practice. Ethan sat with us and played FIFA for a bit, but then his mother called for him. That left JJ. Since he lived right next door, his parents let him stay over a bit longer.
"Simon?" He said my name in the middle of a game of FIFA.
"Yeah," I was shaking. Not because of the aftershock of my freak attack, but because JJ was sitting next to me.
"I'm sorry about being such a jerk. Harry rubs off a bit. He's worse, right?" he mumbled. Was he embarrassed?
"Yeah. But you weren't that bad in the first place."
"I just.. feel so bad. I judge people before I get to know them, you know? Even myself..."
I lay my hand back. He does the same, fingers lightly touching mine. I blush extremely obviously, pretty sure he noticed. There was a shout from downstairs, and the moment was over.
"Oh my freaking God," JJ groaned in exasperation.
"What?"
"It's Deji."
"What?"
"My brother..."
Footsteps started pounding up the stairs. A boy with glasses who looked a whole lot like JJ, appeared in my doorway. Deji.
"Mum wants you back, dork," he says, looking bored.
"Ugh, whatever, Deji."
"She says she'll take your Xbox away."
"Oh crap!!" He jumped up and makes a stupid pose, "I must go save my gaming channel! The show must go on!"
"What?" I ask, confused.
"You really do like saying what, don't you, " JJ laughs, "I have a YouTube channel. Check it out sometime."
"Okay."
