Simon's POV
What was my answer? How could it have possibly been no after all of these years. I had been chasing after him for such a long time, and I finally had what I wanted. Yet, Em's words were sticking to me like super glue.
"it's JJ. I bet my life on it. You may bring out the best in him, but he's never brought the best out in you...."
Could I spend a whole life of people hating who I have become?
"Maybe," I say, after a elongated pause, I touch his chest, "I just need to think, okay? It isn't you."
He nodded, strangely calmly, "I get it."
I hugged him once more and he left me to decide. I went to the window. It was getting a bit late, the sun had set, but it was still quite busy out in the heart of London. I couldn't hear anything though. Complete peace.
"Hey Simon!" Ethan sung, "how are you? Where were you last night?"
I broke my gaze away from the city lights and turned to him, "Harry disappeared. Me and Tobi helped Josh and Cal find him."
"Eh? He disappeared?"
"I don't know. He didn't seem like he wanted to talk about it. He was pretty banged up though, pretty sure he got into a bit of trouble," I waved off the conversation, "but there's something else."
"What?"
"JJ asked to marry me."
"EH?" Ethan squealed, "What? Marry? Like, put a ring on a finger marry?" I nodded, "Simon! What did you say?"
"Maybe."
"Why is that? I would've thought you would've jumped at the chance to marry him!"
"It's something Em said. She said JJ brought out the worst in me, and that she was worried about that," I looked at him with a pained expression, "is it true? Am I at my worst around him?"
"Oh my. I don't think it's his fault. He doesn't control how you are Simon. You aren't his puppet and he does not want you to be that either. You decide how people see you, alright? Don't listen to Em, she was having a tough time when she said that to you."
I smiled. Ethan always knew what to say in a bad situation. "Thank you. I know what I'm going to do now."
Sam Smith is back from the grave.
He was my one and only in 6th grade I swear. I went to his concert and cried and everything. :') Happy tears, I mean. It's not like I've had any breakups to cry over yet.
lol
I'm kinda lonely.
But I don't need a guy! I'm an independent woman!
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed. I really do since we're reaching the end of JJ and Simon's love story.
